Hey Nuke, Crede looked a little off balance with that bender. Throwing more of those might be a good idea.

Dye is what you expect from a #5 hitter unlike Trot Nixon's 6 homeruns.

Dude, chill.

I'd like to see Nixon hit for more power too, but he's having an excellent year.

I’d rather have Trot batting after Manny than Tek, like last night.

Dye is not the most productive right fielder in the game today.

McCarver, a "color" commentator, basically just says "wow" the whole time. The Manny issue is retarded, he is playing in these games because THEY MATTER. It's an exhibition game, maybe he wants to rest his knee. They also just said the Red Sox do not need anything at the deadline, and would be shocked if they made a major move. Affffffffter 2, 1-0 ChiSox.

He having a better year than any right fielder in the game. He is an allstar for a reason because he is a very good hitter along with being a gold glove fielder.

I actually agree with this. They need a #5 starter, not a front of the line rotation guy.

Who's very fortunate to be playing right now. I actually think he's overrated and playing over his head, but whatever.

Yeah, I'm not saying you can't make an argument for it, but over the past few years, Ichiro and Vlad have been pretty damn productive too. Arguably, Dye is the best right fielder this season.

But saying they need the least? I would say the Yankees need more than us. The Mets need starting pitching too.

What the hell are you arguing? If we need the least, then the other teams need more than us.

IMO, without a major move, the Sox will go no further than the first playoff round, and if they hit a few rough spots they will not even get to the post-season.

Again don't expect a major move from the Red Sox because there is nothing out there.

Smoltz is nothing? Do you have inside info from the Braves that they will not move him. Unless you do, you have to assume that he is a likely candidate to find a new home as is Livan Hernandez.

Schuerholtz has said he is not trading him especially when he has a reasonable option for 8 million for next year and they expect mike hampton to return to go along with Tim Hudson and Chuck James to form a solid 4 man rotation. And the Sox need Hansen right now because do you trust Seanez and Tavarez to have important roles. Plus Timlin can't be a work horse anymore at age 40.

I would like Hernandez. He isn't a stud' date=' but he eats innings.[/quote']

He's been pitching injured and has been awful in the NL. He would be a disaster with the soft crap he has been throwing coming over to the AL.

IMO the Braves are not in any danger of contending next year. Schuerholtz is saying these things so as not to lower Smoltz's market value. He would unload Hudson for the right price too.

Edit: as for needing Hansen now, I'd rather Foulke come back healthy.

The Braves can easily come back and contend in a weak NL if go out and build a bullpen correctly. Don't expect Smoltz or any big name traded from Atlanta without giving a shitload back because look who you are dealing with.
