Roddick was a huge favorite today

Federer will be a huge favorite sunday

Whos going to win the battle of the sisters? Imagine getting buzy with either of those 2?

I'm limping with the thought of it, their glutes are just so impressive I bet if you stuck coal in their ass you'd have a diamond in less than an hour.

Guaranteed exit only based purely on musculature.

roddick should have won in 4

so naturally he lost

The volley he missed at the net in the second set tie break at 6-5 is the one shot he'll really regret.

not so much the volley but the fact that he was up 6-2 in that tie break

if he closes that out he wins

Federer hit a winner at 6-2 off serve and then held the two points on his serve to get it to 6-5. There wasn't much Roddick could do on those three points, besides maybe hitting a service winner at 6-2. The point he had the best chance to win was the one at 6-5.

Roddick loosened up and played like it was in the bag. That's his fault. He should have realized he was playing against the best player dead or alive.

I think that's unfair, and it's completely conjecture. Where did Roddick loosen up and play like it was in the bag? The second set tie break? The only point there that is truly Roddick's fault is the point at 6-5. Every tennis player, even Roger Federer, makes errors. One of his errors just happened to come at a very unfortunate time.

Well the points before that leading up to that horrendous volley he missed by about 10 feet, he played them very loose and essentially took for granted the position he was in instead of keeping the foot on the throat.

Then the volley he missed, he tightened up real bad. It was a very tough volley, and the guy has brick hands at the net, but it's a shot that you need to make if you want to play at that level.

Roddick played awesome today, but by no means did he "deserve it".

I just watched the replay again and you're right , there's not much andy could of done better on the first 3 points that Fed saved and the one that he had a chance on he blew it

I tought that andy had made an error at 6-2 but he didn't , I just watched the tie break again

Fed serve suprised me

50 aces? Wow

I expected that from roddick

Federer struggled in the round of 16 against David Ferrer at Cincinnati, but came through in the end. It would be nice to see him win a competitive hard court tournament heading into the US Open.

Yeah , I'd like to see him win Cincy but either way he'll bring it for the US open like he always does

Fed wins Cincy and looked REAL good

it will be tough to beat him in the US open

Agreed. How about the first point of the final game in the match. That was something. It's nice to see him be able to knock off both Murray and Djokovic in the same tournament.

he showed some flashes of 2006 today that's for sure , especially in that first set

I bet $134 on Nadal to win his first round matchup today. -1500 favorite. What are the chances he gets upset?

very slim , eventough he's NOT what he was earlier on this year he's facing Gasquet (coke head) who hasent played competitive tennis in over 4 month due to his ban

I'd be shocked if Nadal loses this one

However Gasquet does have LOTS of talent but he will be rusty

I wouldn't put money on Nadal vs. a guy as talented as Gasquet when the line is all the way @ -1500...

What do you win... 10 bucks?

And FWIW I put 90 bucks on Sharapova tonight @ -1500. Hate the line but why pass up a free small addition to my account?
