I've made my decision. I'm rooting for the White Sox. I'm going balls to the wall for the division and if we can't win it because the wild card was too far out of reach, then we didn't deserve it.

Thank you. I hate chanting we're number 2.

I'm with you. Even if we get knocked out in the first round, at least we will have blocked the Yankees from #27..

Good.

We need the division. I don't give 2 shits about the wild card. If we win it, great, but I want the damn division.

I do not think the Red Sox have a snowball's chance in hell of catching and surpassing the yankees. They do, on the other hand, have a chance to win the wild card. Either way, losing to the Royals with any of your top 3 pitchers is not the best way to go about it. The sox did not gain ground in the division when their div. leader loses and they lost ground in the wild card. For the first time in a long time, the sox are now a full game out of any postseason spot.

There is no chance in hell this team will get by the Tigers in the first round with our pitching staff if we win the wild card. It's different to face a team in the ALCS because of the momentum of moving on in the postseason. The Sox have a better chance of playing someone from the west at this point than the Tigers. Beat a team from the west, then play the Tigers or whoever wins the WC in the ALCS.

Besides, I'm not settling for the wild card. The point is to win the divison, and that's what I want to see more than anything. In my mind, if they can't surpass the Yanks and win the division, they have no place in the playoffs.

I admire that attitude.

Thanks.

The point is to win. If you're happy settling for second place there's something wrong. I'm not saying I wasn't happy in 2004, I was happy they made the playoffs, but I was pissed that we didn't win the division.

Second place is nothing but the first loser.

I'll give everyone 3 guesses who GIDP to squelch an inning that could have buried the ChiSox, but you'll only need one.

It was a pretty good play by Crede.

I'll give you 3 guesses whose therapist will be saying the same thing tomorrow, but you'll only need one.
