I actually missed Juan Uribe there. I know he would have swung at the first pitch and it would have been a nice "chopper 2 hopper" to Jeter.

Abreu is really playing well. The Yankees should hand Freddy Garcia his head. He has nothing. No zip on his pitches, nothing.

Did something happen to Garcia's arm? I watched a game early this year and Hawk was saying something about him adjusting his approach by throwing softer with more movement. That's an odd adjustment to make w/o an injury. And, the results haven't been good this year. He sucks.

I'm seen him pitch all year long and I think its a case of just being worn down. It reminds me of what happend to Vazquez when he joined the Yankees. Vazquez was throwing 95 MPH with the Expos and all of a sudden hes a Yankee and he has the velocity of Mike Mussina. Its not suprising that it happend right after Vazquez threw 230+ innings. Vazquez has never been the same since.

 

Garcia has been an innings eater over his career and I think those innings are coming back to haunt him because he is throwing 88-90. Not the 93-95 he once threw.

Crede with a HR to tie the game. The sinker isn't sinking.

Wang hangs a slider and Crede takes him out. Why even bother with that pitch when Wang has gotten the first 2 hitters out rather easy with sinkers is beyond me. It looked like he was starting to find his arm slot.
