Foulke isnt near the form of the dominating closer he used to be, but can still be a solid det up man. If it aint broke, dont fix it. Papelbon will stay closing out the 9th for this season.

Not only isn't it broke, but right now the have a slam dunk when they get to the 9th. That is invaluable as the Yankees have demonstrated for years with Mo. They'll have to make some other arrangements to bolster the starting corps. Maybe it'll be Hansen. Foulke has always wanted to start, but they would probably never consider it.

But he wasn't setting up anything. He just threw strikes and eventually they got themeselves out.

I know but im looking ahead bc I want hason to close because of his amr motion. Are those 4 or 3 pitches enough for him to start?

 

Papelbon has enough in his arsenal to start but it won't be this year. In the offseason things may change but right now he will close.
