I think you may be jaded by YES coverage. I only watch the Sox on mlb.tv, half of which are the other teams broadcast. And, if the Sox are on TV, I watch any TV coverage over the computer becasue I hate the delay. The Sunday Night crew is pretty fair across the board. It's possible that you are so used to hearing the hometown crew, that when you don't hear it, it sounds foreign.
