Sean Chacon vs Kameron Loe

Sean Chacon started out the yr with 2 bad starts and 2 bad relief appearances. He has since made 2 stellar starts totalling 13.1IP and 2ER while getting 2 wins. Unfortunately, he last pitched on April 27th and his start was pushed back due to a rainout and Jaret frickin Wright was allowed to pitch on regular rest. Last yr he pitched one game against Texas going 6 and giving up 3 runs getting the win. He has to be sharp against this great lineup.

Kameron Loe is a converted starter after being a reliever for a long time. He is a tall, lanky and hick looking mofo with a very good sinker that he will throw often. He has 4 QS's in 6 tries so far and only 9 walks in those 6 starts. He has allowed less than a hit an inning to this point as well. With the offense back to how it should be constituted, we should be able to drive up his pitch count and get into that soft Texas pen. Should be a good one, go Yankees....

it was supposed to be gross early in the day but would clear up. The weatherman here said that the rain in texas would be swinging up to the northeast by monday and hang around for a day or two. I hope the yanks sox game on tuesday doesnt get affected by it...

Gary Sheffield was scratched from Saturday's lineup because of soreness in his left wrist. He also won't start Sunday.

Sheffield, who returned to the starting lineup on Friday, is still hurting as a result of last weekend's collision with Shea Hillenbrand. "I'm not getting any feeling off the bat," Sheffield said. "It's easy to do in batting practice when it's 70 mph and coming straight. But when you have to stay back on breaking balls and have to turn your wrist over, that's when you feel it." The hope is that Sheffield will be ready to play against the Red Sox on Tuesday. May. 6

Who pitches in relief for the Yankees tonight? Proctor/Myers/Rivera?

I'd rather see Proctor/Villone ---> game over. Mo threw a lot of pitches last night bailing Farns and Small out....

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a Tanyon Sturtze sighting in Texas. Stay tuned for details.

ORS and .700, I'd be lying if I didnt say I was scared. 2 men on, up 5? I was expecting another Mo sighting, but he got out of it. I'll be happy once he is DFA'd cause he looks like he is droppin a loaf every time he takes the mound....

Last night's game was great. Chacon, after a rocky start, is picking up where he left off in Spring Training and last season. He's won his last three starts (all against pretty good offensive teams) and has brought his ERA under 4. Johnny and Bubba made some good plays in the outfield. Then, unlike Friday night, the relievers came in and kept the game from becoming interesting. Proctor continues his run, allowing two hits in two innings, and bringing his ERA even lower (1.40.) And it looks like A Rod and Matsui are starting to break out of their slumps, which is great news.
