Apr 28 - Curt Schilling plans to call it a career after the 2007 season, the Providence Journal reports. "I've got another year left after this one and then I'm done," Schilling told the newspaper. "God willing, I can stay healthy the next two years, have good years and win a World Series, but after that, I'm done. I couldn't be more ecstatic about what I've been given a chance to do."

Yeah, I think he said this last year. He just said it again this year...

Also, I think I read or heard that Schill will be this week's Sunday Conversation on espn.

this may sound really anti -redsox but we need a hardass manager, they are the ones that win lots of games - Tony LaRussa, Joe Mothatf***in Torre

is brian cox a hardass ?

Yah Leyland good call hes not afraid to say that the Tigers sucked in public which what a true manager does

I think Schill would be a hardass manager not a player's manager

I couldn't care less.

Shut your flap and pitch.

He is such an egomaniac its off the charts.

Hey, no negativity about Curt should ever come from a Red Sox fan. Not too many guys would have sacrificed his body and possibly his career to have that procedure done before game 6 of the 2004 ALCS and game 2 of the WS. I can't think of any that would have done it. As much as I admire Petey, he never would have done it. Not only did he let them do the procedure twice, but he went out there on one ankle and performed at a championship level. I don't care if Curt mugs every guy with a camera and a mike, he can do no wrong. So, shut your pie-hole and reserve your negativity for someone else.:thumbdown
