Sox add some catching depth, sign Corky Miller

Red Sox signed catcher Corky Miller to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Miller, who was released by the Mariners last week, gives the Red Sox an alternative to Ken Huckaby should the club lose a catcher. Apr. 25 - 8:02 pm et

 

probably not a big move, but hes a better option than Huckaby, whos was hitting .071 before going on the DL

I remember when he was a top prospect in the reds system and fizzled out. He is a guy who will hit the occasional HR, but he cannot make consistent contact enough to stay in the bigs....
