No, it isn't.

Corey Dillion is on the wrong side of 30, and looked absolutely horrible last year. The Patriots need a RB they can pass the torch to. Maroney, is a pretty good fit.

The Pats need a RB but I would not have selected one this high when there was more of a need at Linebacker and DB or even WR.

Who could they have drafted in the second round that was even remotely close to Maroney's quality? Lendale White?

Besides, someone like Abdul Hodge could be hanging around late in the 2nd round.

There is no question Williams was the better college RB. Obviously the Pats feel Maroney's skills translate better to the NFL. They're probably right. He's a lot bigger back.

Looks like with both the Seahawks and Giants on the clock both with pass on Lendale White and he should slip out of the first round. He may fall to the Jets in the 2nd round.

Winston Justice is also falling, and further than Lendale White as most expected him to be gone by 15. He's also the 2nd rated OT in the draft.

Do you ever know what you are talking about? I'm sorry but I know nothing about football and I think I can safely say that the need at RB was much more than at WR. So you lost Givens? Its not like we lost a TO type of talent. Sure we need some DB's but there are athletic guys who can play the field deep in the draft every year and they have 3 picks left.

RB's can be had anywhere in the draft....Hence Curtis Martin (3rd round) and Terrell Davis (6th round). Dillon might not run for 1600 yds anymore but in day and age its not very hard to top 1000 yards in a season. 1000 yds in not an accomplishment anymore as so many guys do it. Dillon still gained over 700 yds last year and he was hurt. Imagine maybe if he was healthy. He might have lost a step but enough where he is not going to top 1000 yards in a season.

That said now that the 2 picks have been made they need to focus on the defense in rounds 3-5.

Lendale White goes to tennesseeThey sure are having a great draft

not necesarily, theres a reason white dropped that low. he has weight issues and is hurt i think. however, i still think he will be a decent power rusher in this league.

Wow, Bills screw up big time. They definately could've traded down and still got that guy.

Not neceassarily, as a Bills fan, I don't mind the Whitner pick. I think that this kid would have been a top 10 talent next year, and this year, he was second only to Michael Huff in the safety range and Lions were rumored to have wanted a safety, Huff or Whitner, and with Huff gone, if the Bills would have passed on Whtiner, the Lions would have gotten him.

I Love the draft sp far for the pats, they have a Rb that can spell Corey Dillon, and is the future and a wideout that could potentially fill the hole left by David Givens

With the 33rd choice of the 1991 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons select quarterback Brett Fay-ver, Mississippi State.

Hahahahahaha, that still cracks me up.

Great draft by the Jets, pass on Leinhart to get the proctection in D'Brik and Maglon(forgot spelling)..and then Got Kellen Clemens as a good future QB. I'm excited for tomarrow, but today gave me great hope for years to come!!

Maybe Clemens can lead 2 NY teams to Championships....lol

solid draft so far, except for the third rounder TE. I LOVE how they traded up to get Chad Jackson in the 2nd round. He was the best WR available and is going to be a great nfl WR. A little dissapointed they didnt take Lawson in the first round, but we do need some depth at RB, so Maroney helps. Id like to have seen them take a guy like Mark Anderson with there 3rd rounder.
