I'm watching the Toronto game cast on MLB.TV and they are showing the defensive positions. The spell it "defence" they spelled defense wrong. what the hell.

he was an allstar last yr, so he pitched well in the beginning, but he crumbled late...

Don't forget that Clement took a line drive to the temple at mid-point last season.

This guy has great stuff and terrible sense of when to use some of it. He gets frustrated. But that is passion. He will overcome this and start making great pitches and winning big games as a Red Sox starter. He can be a big time winner ......Red Sox win his next 3 starts.

I too think he can be a pretty good pitcher...I think he might just be a bit of a headcase (but not like Lowe:D)

I love double plays. That was big because Wells leads off next inning instead of coming up with people on.

i can't tell on gamecast but youk and harris have been hit by pitches so far. was it a lack of control thing or was it intentional?

excuses, excuses. Pavano got hit in the temple last yr too and he had 3-4 great starts afterwards. It doesnt affect your pitching, it affects the way you react to balls coming off the bat. If he misses a few grounders back to him, then I'd understand that, but completely imploding? Not due to getting hit....

Towers is considered a control pitcher, but this early in the yr it is hard to determine intention on pitches as most pitchers are still a little rusty on location.....
