Another FRUSTRATING LOSS! Tonights was even more frustrating than last nights. Beckett was in command through 8 and then everything fell apart. Then Paps and Foulke pitched great, but nobody could drive in any runs. Then f***in Seanez loses the game the first batter he faces. Seanez needs to be demoted. Bring up Declarmen. I'm so sick of that f***in scrub. This is ********!

It took Seanez 2 pitches to ruin 4 innings of great relief pitching by Foulke and Papelbon. I think the pen will develop into Foulke setting up Papelbon, if Terry isn't too thick-headed about moving Timlin to the 7th.

Foulke should have finished the inning. Terry has done this twice to Foulke. Foulke is a finisher. He has a closer's mentality and he was throwing well.

Wily Mo Pena needs time to develop, and everyone here all knew this the minute they made that trade. It was a move for the future, to replace either Trot or Manny, but which one remains to be seen.

3 games is a small sample size.. he's going from facing lineups that would be:

 

damon, jeter, a-rod, sheff, giambi, matsui, posada, cano, phillips

3456 of toronto aka wells, glaus, overbay, hillenbrand

23456 of texas aka young, texiera, nevin, blalock, mench

not to mention baltimore and even tampa is no squid

 

every team in the al east is a powerhouse..

 

the NL central however is only held down by houston and st louis. the other teams have good hitters but it's nowhere close to the string of 4-5 above average hitters in a row.. you might find 2-3 tops, not to mention ever 9th batter is the PITCHER.
