Pedro won his 200th career game tonight against the Atlanta Braves. Congratulations, Petey. IMO he is the greatest pitcher that I have had the pleasure of watching in 38 years of watching baseball.

No bad blood from me. I didn't really feel any low blows, it's not like he went on national television and said he could never make money his excuse to leave Boston. Baseball is a business, and he did what anyone else would do.

Congrats Pedro! I hope if you're scheduled to pitch at Fenway, you get the ovation you deserve.

Congratulations, Pedro.

He's still one of my favorite players. Hope he's successful for many more years in this league.

Congrats Pedro and by the way thank you Carlos Delgado for extending my streak in Beat the Streak to 9 games! My longest streak all of last year was like 4 games. Only 47 more games to beat DiMaggio's record. People should really play this game it takes literally 30 seconds to do and the prizes are great. Go to MLB.com if you want to play.

lol, hed probably have 300 if he stayed with the Sox....but anyways, thats cool

300 wins for Pedro is a stretch because hes likely to break down way before that.

congrats pedro , i still catch every game he pitches in. there are 103 pitchers that have reached that milestone and hes has the fewest lost among them 84 . .704 winning percentage . amazing

Yeah, discluding the low blows he dealt us when he signed with the Mets, he ahs been the gratest pitcher I have seen in my tenure as a Sox fan.

Even over Roger?

Here is a hypothetical ?....After we won the world series if you had a choice of getting Beckett this offseason or keeping Pedro for the rest of his career. Which player would you have taken?

well first of all it wasent a low blow it was the FO screwing him around. in my opinion he is well worth the money the mets gave him,and the FO should have matched it and gave it to him

Petey is and will always be my favorite pitcher, and no one is going to convince me there was a better pitcher when I was growing up.

Congrats on 200 Petey ... keep adding them up.

Although coaches and scouts made those same predictions several years ago. None of them would have projected that he'd still be a top pitcher striking out 200+ batters at age 35.

i'm glad to see all the great sayings from RSN. petey was like no other pitcher.. i've seen them all (well, not all) clemens was great, but pedro was simply amazing. the most dominating pitcher ever, it's not even close.

congrats on 200.. i wish pedro learned how to pitch with the lower velocity in 2004. if he did he most likely would be wearing a red jersey instead of a black one. there is a good article on espn about pedro learning to pitch with his lower velocity, check it out. i see pedro pitching very well for the rest of his contract with the mets.

For those who doubt that Pedro is the greatest of them all, they should look at where he is at on the all-time career list for the following stats: Winning Percentage, Hits/9 innings, WHIP, League Adjusted ERA, K's/9 innings. I can't think of any other more pertinent stats to measure a pitcher's effectiveness.

at 34 if he stays healthy (wich is a big question) he will definately reach 300 wins

Don't expect 300 wins from Pedro. He will need 5-6 very good seasons to do that which is very unlikely and he knows that he can get into the hall of fame already without reaching the 300 wins.

If he can finish this year with 215, it is not inconceivable for him to do it in 5 years. If he has a couple of 20+ win seasons, he'll be close enough to smell it and he migh stick around to get it.

I'd like to see him get 300 but I hope he doesn't just "stick around" to get it. I hate when great players stick around too long just to get to a milestone. If you didn't get it, and you're done, too bad. I hope Pedro pitches as long as he can ... but only that long.

wins are such a stupid stat for pitchers.. think about 2003, he only had 14 wins in 190 ip with a 2.22 era.. that's rediculous. with a 2.22 era today even the devil rays could have given pedro at least 16. last year the mets blew at least 3 games for pedro alone. stats that should be looked at when judging a pitchers HOF is his amount of quality starts, stats like WHIP, K/9, bb/k, bb/9, hits allowed, hr's allowed, era+, wins should be the last thing they look at.

but with this mets lineup pedro could give up 4 runs in 6 and still get the W

i agree ,i remember when he lost the cy young award zito that was BS ,the only thing zito had better on him was 23 wins compare to 20 ,pedro had him beat on every other stats ,he should have 4 cy youngs insted of 3
