Agreed. They have potential hitting, but mediocre pitching and the entire team is disorganized and uninspired.

Nah. They're not THAT terrible, but they're not anything special. I still think Tampa Bay finishes below them.

If "Wild Thing" could ever pull it together, then the Orioles wouldn't be that bad. Bedard, Benson, Chen, Caberra, and Lopez isn't a bad staff. Plus, they can hit a lot more than the D-Rays can. (Seriously, is Ty Wigginton, really a cleanup hitter?)

Baltimore has the edge over Tampa in pitching, but in hitting, it's Tampa easily. They've got speed (Crawford, Baldelli, Lugo, Gathright), and power (Huff, Cantu, Gomes).

i agree, the orioles aren't great, but the rays never seem to do well. I think that tampa's pitching is what will keep them in last

Average team that will likely finish in 4th or last place. Peter Angelos has killed that franchise.

They will come back. And there's still Crawford, a potential 50 base stealer.

 

We don't know if Roberts was a flash in the pan, I don't think so, but he could be. Hernandez will cool down, and Gibbons is nothing special.
