It's nice to be winning the one run games. They only got 5 hits. When the bats heat up, these guys should steam roll through most of the league.

yea, as much as i love winning these closegames, I'd like to get this offense goin. I mean last yearw e hit in like 6 runs a game, I mean that, combined with our pitching will be deadly, there's always one thing wrong with the Sox every year. once offense, anotehr defense, and last year pitching.

Its not exactly a flaw right now, with Coco out, and Nixon on the shelf for a couple more days, the offense might lag a little bit. When Manny gets hot, with Coco as a table setter, this team will break games open. I still think that Clement is going to be reliable this year, and I think if we can move a Papelbon or a DiNardo permantly into the fifth spot, this could be the deepest rotation in baseball. We won't give up runs, and while we won't score as much as last year, we will be scoring significant runs again this year. Just wait until Manny heats up. We're putting a lot of people on base right now. A lot. To strand all these runners and still come away with wins is huge.

By the way, nice win today, Beckett was outstanding once agian, Paps was good in the 9th, and Manny hit a ball hard. Maybe it will get him going. When Trot and Coco comes back and Manny hits this offesne is going to be fine.

I haven't read anything in this thread because I'm watching the game right now on MLB.tv and don't know the outcome, but I just felt the need to say that Wily Mo needs to be benched. In the bottom of the 2nd he jogged and cost himself an infield single, and in the top of the 3rd after missing a ball he jogged back to it.

 

I can't stand players that don't hustle. If he's not gonna run all the time they I really don't want him on this team.

Let's erase that run. It's 2-2. You can't say they win or lose. I've already told how I came up with loss. They're not "juicers" anymore, so I can cheer for them. Besides, wang is as much the reason we won today as them.
