lol, we gotta get shillingoutthehecks to start doing these again.

Bartolo Colon has done fairlybad vs the Yankees in the past, he only pitched 10 innings in 2 games last year with a 8.44 ERA, While Mussina has done ok vs the angels, 14-8 with a 3.51 ERA in his career

Haha, I remember when you first joined you were pleading with us not to hate you, because you JUST recognized the irony as you made your first post. That was funny.

And as long as the Yanks keep losing and causing the Skank fans pain, I will stay off creating threads :)

LOL. When I was creating an account here, I was watching Animal Planet. It was about moose and stuff. I couldn't think of any name (got tired of my usual sn, "UnderPressure"), so I chose "Moose."

Pitching matchup

NYY: RHP Mike Mussina (0-0, 3.86 ERA)

Mussina went 1-2 with a 3.81 ERA in three regular-season starts versus the Angels in 2005.

LAA: RHP Bartolo Colon (0-0, 5.40 ERA)

Colon went 1-1 with an 8.44 ERA in two starts against the Yankees last season.

Player to watch

Rodriguez had the best game of his career against Colon last season, homering three times while driving in 10 runs. A-Rod has a .442 career average in 43 at-bats against Colon, homering seven times and driving in 16 runs.

Robinson Cano: 1 - 3, .333 AVG, 1 RBI

Johnny Damon: 14 - 48, .375 AVG, 3 2B, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 5 BB, 6 K

Giambi: 7 - 27, .259 AVG, 1 2B, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 3 BB, 10 K

Jeter: 11 - 32, .344 AVG, 1 3B, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 2 BB, 9 K

Matsui: 3 - 10, .300 AVG, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 3 BB, K

Posada: 3 - 19, .158 AVG, 2B, 1 HR, 6 RBI, 6 BB, 8 K

A-Rod: 19 - 43, .442 AVG, 5 2B, 3B, 6 HR, 16 RBI, 3 BB, 9 K

Sheffield: 6 - 17, .353 AVG, 2 2B, 1 RBI, 2 BB, K

Bernie: 6 - 22, .273 AVG, HR, 2 RBI, 3 BB, 6 K

Given those numbers, and Colon's start against Seattle, the best opportunity for this team to snap out of its offensive lull might be just be against the defending AL Cy Young recipient.

He may have won the award last year, but we all know that the Cy Young award belonged to Rivera ;)

OK Yankees, time to get our heads out of our asses.

ANybody else think Koyie Hill should get the start behind the plate today? haha

Good inning. Very good to see.

Whats the deal with Phillips not getting any playing time? I mean dont get me wrong, nobody loves Cairo more than I do, but Phillips had a great spring. Considering Joe NEVER used Cairo at first back in 2004 its interesting to see all the playing time he's gotten there this spring and now during the season.

But Cairo did lay down the nice Sac Bunt :D

Phillips is probably nothing more than trade bait at this point...
