Beckett was really impressive in his first start with the Sox and Nixon came through in the clutch with that 2 run homerun. Overall I thought the Sox played well though the bats could have been better. But the pitching was really good and let's hope Clement can continue this Friday night when he makes his first start of the season.

I know it's early in the season and the bats generally come on a little later than the pitching---with that said however it was a little concerning seeing the sox go back to back nights with pathetic AB's! I am not panicking and it's still real early---just wish it was a little better!

Update: Saw an extended interview with Foulke on Sportsdesk after the game and he said:

 

-As long as we win, that's all that matters

-Tito told me i could be throwing the ball better, i am good, but paps is great right now

-I need to get my stuff together and polish my game and then try and earn the closer role back

-Whatever is best for the team is what i want

 

 

 

pretty good stuff and a good attitude-------let's hope he can pull it together this year!

No joke! I thought that it was great to see how into beckett's game shilling was! When Beckett got that K in the 7th to end his outing shill was yelling and just as exited for beckett as he was! Great to see:thumbsup:
