I am starting a poll to see if I can be elected a moderator for this board. Mostly I want to be one so I can delete the posts of people I don't like, or don't agree with me. :thumbsup:

Theres a good dozen that will be moderator before you would be up for election. Not a knock on you exactly, its just you haven't been here long at all, and your reasons aren't exactly ones that would convince Yeszir to want to make you a mod.

Exactly. There are plenty of people that have been here longer, and on top of that we have enough Mods.

No, it's probably only a dozen. Because that is about how many people (who aren't already mods) post on this board. Because all you "long-timers" chase every new person away. (Examples: BH guys, Rivernator, the NE Patriot people, and many others who weren't made to feel welcome the first time they didn't agree with the majority)

You're singing the wrong tune. Show me where I drove off any of those people. Far from it. I can somewhat understand your concern. There is always going to be some people that for some reason don't get along. Best to just ignore them. I have know problem with you. BTW, my response was a joke, GKL was a 13 year old girl without a clue.

Haha, yea she was. But I think TMIMM (thats how I'm gonna abbreviate your name from now on) has a point. We don't really give new people that much of a chance if they rub us the wrong way immediately. The BH people are a case in point. Maybe we should try to be nicer to newbies. After all, they're new here. Everyone was new once.

That's true, but part of it is human nature. If someone new comes aboard, the natural reaction is to start making judgements ( usually with litte or no information ). The questtions start : Is this really a Red Sox fan ?, Is this a kid, old guy, or somewhere in-between ? A guy or gal. etc.

More use of the Introduction Forum, Public Profile, and even the Get to know your members Thread, would be helpfull. Just a thought.
