This'll just be a thread to discuss all the games this spring since I know most people do not usually watch a majority of the spring games and it would be pointless to do separate threads for each game, plus this is what we did last year and it worked relatively well.

Tonight at 7 the exhibition season begins against Minnesota. Jonathan Papelbon will start for the Sox against Twins ace Johan Santana.

I probally listen uptil papelbon gets taken out. Other than that this game will be boring. It will be good to see a little baseball on saturday, when Beckett takes the hill for the first time.

I hope I can watch this game tonight. DirecTV was being a bitch earlier and had the Rockies/White Sox blacked out on FSN: Rocky Mountain. Which doesnt make sense because A) its spring training, they never black out spring training games. And B ) I have the baseball package. So hopefully tonight I can get it, as its on FSN: North.

Very happy my MLB.TV password which I stole off another forum last year still works so I'll be able to watch all the meaningful games again this year for FREE. :)

Just got home from the supermarket. Missed the top of the first. I'm streaming online example1 without any problems.

Is anyone able to stream this on Mlb.com (the televised part?) I keep getting a connection error. Anyone?

If you live in the Boston area you won't be able to watch it due to "blackout restrictions". Which in my mind is stupid since there's no channel showing the game here.

You're watching the game? I am hearing it just fine, but it has to keep trying to reconnect. ARGHHHH!!

I doubt Portland, Oregon is going to black the game out. Why do this to me GOD!?!??!?

I'm watching it - but it's the damn Twins broadcast. No problems connecting...

Tony G flashing the leather. I'd love to keep that guy on the bench.

as much as i like tony he won't get the playing time he deserves so its best he has a good spring training increasing his trade value.

all I'm getting is the radio broadcast. MLB.com TV keeps saying "attempting to reconnect", even though I've watched probably 100 games on mlb.com this offseason and purchased a month worth of all-access. What's the point of all-access if you can't watch a game when its on. Jeez

How did Papelbon get out of the inning?

I hate the mlb.tv player interface. Last year I used to be able to copy the url of the video file and play it in the stand alone Real Player - I could then adjust the size of the video and play it in theatre mode. But I can't figure out how to do that tonight. I keep getting an error. Uhhhh.

No offense to Tony, but if he rides the pine in Boston, that is exactly what he deserves since he's the one that accepted arbitration after the Sox had already traded for Loretta. If they can't get something they like in return, they should keep him because he'd be one hell of a bench player.

Man do these MIN announcers have a bad research team. Murphy just came over from the Houston organization? News to me.

Yeah I was confused about that too. Torii just jacked that pitch though.
