While I'm on the subject, I also hate Pro Player Stadium (for baseball) or whatever it is now (Dolphins Field maybe?). It's a freakin football stadium. Baseball shouldn't be played there!

I kinda hope the Fish move, or at least get a new stadium. One or the other is going to happen and its most likely going to be the move.

LMAO. Move em to Vegas.

Well, I vote Chicago. I know White Sox fans, for the most part, are pretty knowledgable. They have some great stuff over at http://www.soxtalk.com if you take some time to read it. The Chicago Bears have had some pretty good s*** goin on over there, and I bet the fans are able to take the game of football into perspective pretty well (through the eyes of Mike Ditka and Lovie Smith). The Bulls had a pretty good thing goin for them. And the Blackhawks are a pretty solid hockey team, at times. I think Chicago is actually underrated, and if you look at the work thats been done over there, you can probably appreciate it a lot. Now, I don't know if the fans are smart enough to actually take all of this into their brains ("this" refers to the strategies displayed in front of their faces), but if they are, they could be some pretty smart people. Obviously, me voting in this assumes they do.

Then again, Boston is right up there too, but there are so many Boston bandwagon fans that a lot of them drown out the knowledgable ones. If I'm going on displayed knowledge from true informative fans, I'm going with Chicago. Even though Boston has a large share of knowledgable fans. Also for the sake of bias, I'm going with Chicago.

This is in no way meant to start an argument over who's smarter, just an alternative vision that hopes to open up some minds.

I like the idea. The move Colorado to the Central, and Pittsburgh to the east where they should be.

If you're talking about the Steelers theres no way they're ever going to be moved out of the North. There isn't a better division in football as far as rivalries and heated games are concerned. I mean Steelers, Bengals, Browns, Ravens. The teams are too close and too big of rivals to break up.

Since when is there a team named Colorado in the NFL and there is no more Central division.....

Can we say Lexington, KY have the best fans?? WE BLEED BLUE DOWN HERE FOR OUR WILDCATS!!!

Notice the post said all 4 major sports (and was really aiming at pro sports not college)

I have seen them play several times though and you are right they do love em but I hate em :harhar:

Ive always wanted to go to a retractable roof stadium. I always wanted to go to a Dome, and I always wanted to go to a cookie cutter/open air stadium with Astroturf. Always wondered what they were like. Looks like i'll never make it to the cookie cutter, and Minnessota is the last dome.

The only domed stadium I've been to was Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

I'm a baseball fanatic and so I'm thrilled to go no matter where it is and who's playing, but in Montreal it's nothing like it is at a place like Fenway Park. Even Dodger Stadium and The park the Angels play in (Angel park of Los Angeles sponsered by Disney World of Anaheim or whatever the hell it's called these days) are worlds cooler than Olympic Stadium.

I'm not voting in this poll because frankly I don't have an answer. Every single Yankee fan I've ever personally met has been a bloody moron, but there ara a TON of Red Sox fans who are also morons. Also, I don't care about Basketball or football, and I haven't followed hockey since high school...... Plus having never met a fan of a Chicago sports team I can't judge their passion/knowledge.

I don't think LA stacks up to NY/Boston as far as passion though. I went to a sold out game in Anaheim where 60% of the people showed up in the 3rd inning and left in the 8th. What's that about? And it was a game against Oakland, last year-- so it's even as close to a rival as the Angels would have.

Which city do you think has the most knowledgable sports fans in all 4 major sports (baseball, football, basketball, hockey)?

What are you trying to do with this poll? I mean it's like asking someone, "Which country do you want to be bombed: yours or another one?"

Devil Rays fans. They're the ones smart enough not to show up to games.

Sox and Yankee games at the Trop are like home games. I'm not even joking. The split is 20% D-Ray fans, 80% Sox/Yanks.

Is it even a nice stadium, the Trop? I know it's new, but I've heard some people say it's a really lousy place.

I enjoy the games there. The seating is comfortable. There isn't a bad view in the house. It's air-conditioned. There is ample parking surrounding the park. If you ever make it down to Tampa during the season, you should try and take in a game there. I had preconceived notions about domes before going to a game there, and the Trop changed my mind. Although, on a philosophical level, I still object wholeheartedly to concept of playing baseball indoors.

Yeah, if I ever get down there, I'll have to try to see a game. I mean if they're playing the Sox, it's not like it'll really be an away game, right? SAFECO field, that's another place I'd like to visit.

Not really all that 'new', it was completed in 1990.

It was built starting in 1986 to try and lure the White Sox, and eventually, the Mariners and Giants, to Tampa. It was finished in 1990, but wasn't occupied by a sports team until the Tampa Lightning started using it in '93 (known as the Thunderdome). The Lightning managed to set NHL Attendance records because of the size of the stadium, since it was built for baseball. I believe the Tampa Storm of the AFL also played there during this time.

I'm not sure when, exactly, the Lightning moved out,

I do believe they're the only people who play their now. I think One Red Seat or somebody in the area would know more about that than myself.

I don't live in Tampa, so I don't know what goes on there in the offseason. I haven't heard of anything up this way in Orlando, though.

Ahh, ok, I figured being somewhat close to Tampa (Orlando's only an hour away, right?), there might be stuff in the paper or whatever. I'd assume that Tropicana Field is exclusive to the Devil Rays, redguitar. The Storm play in the St. Pete Times Forum.

edit: I should add, my experiences have taught me that St. Louis fans are incredibly knowledgable. I don't have a vote because I don't put up with all the fanbases on a daily basis, so I wouldn't really know. I do, however, think you're excluding some worthy fanbases from the list.

I'm sorry but there is no way boston fans are most knowledgable. More like biggest complainers and most depressing

I'm gonna guess you voted for Chicago as the city now has 2 votes.
