For the longest time Riv...you had Fire Torre in your signature last season. Now he's a great?

You also use the word cohesive a lot and say chemistry is overrated all the time.

I can only guess that when you say cohesiveness...you means cohesive tasks. Not meaning social cohesivness. Is this right?

But then again some belive that to be able to have a cohesive task relationship between two ppl, there must be some kind of chemistry. I'm not sure how your using the word.

wow rosey! get some! let us just remember that it's simply MJ being MJ!! we also musn't for get the weekly tirades and screaming caps calling for more than Joe's head...I believe there was a whole host of evil ones that our boy wanted to see disembowled...

and as far as chemistry is concerned, 2004 was absolutely about chemistry and coming together as one for the common cause...winning the world series....something I believe will take quite a while for the evil empire to accomplish no matter who they can get...

my theme for the upcoming season..................."were comin to get cha"

This board is in for quite a treat during the MFY's first slump of the season

chemistry is overrated and actually assinine...

Nope mj, you are assinine. The 90's MFY had chemistry and contributed to their winning streak. Not so much in the 2000's huh?

The John Kerry-esque flip flopping is typical of the mile wide, inch deep Yankee "fan" base.

Speaking of the democrats - John McCains letter to Barack O'Bama might've been the funniest thing I've read in a long time!!

Tito's pitching decisions are based on Wallace's input - at least that is why I believe they have a pitching coach. Plus, as Rivera has proven, nothing is automatic just because you are sent in to take care of business.

OBama and McCain were supposed to be involved in some bipartisan ethics and lobbying reform plan and Barack did a little Dem back-tracking on the stance and McCain wrote:

"I understand how important the opportunity to lead your party's efforts to exploit this issue must seem to a freshman senator, and I hold no hard feelings over your earlier disingenuousness. I have been around long enough to appreciate that in politics, the public interest isn't always a priority for every one of us. Good luck to you, senator."

I know soxy, just having alittle fun while the kiddies are in school...especially the kid that promotes the AIM....think his dad works for AOL??

I know that tito has had his issues handling the starters, but to have won 95 games last year with all the bandaid, fingers in the dike up down stop the bleeding, Jesus H...give the guy a break...ya know what I'm sayin? He got us the first WS championship in 86 years and really if we were healthy last year we could have possibly gone farther...so from where I'm standing, let's get to ST and see where we stand...

so before the walrus asks, I will!!! what are you wearing today?? ;)

John McCain is the man and he or Rudy is my choice in 2008. Uh oh, I did mention a Yankee fan. Shame on me. Then, again, why are we even talking about politics. As much as don't care for John Kerry, he is, after all, a Red Sox fan---unless he has flipped flop on that one, too. I used to despise Ben Affleck. No more, he is one of us. What I am saying is that when you are a Red Sox fan, to me nothing else in your bag of ideas means anything to me. You are a brother-in-arms. We are a special breed no matter what our politics may be, and I think on this I am not alone with these thoughts.

I don't really think it's all that fair to bash the guy before the season even starts...it's not even spring training yet...not to mention that yeah...we won with him before...no one's perfect.

Wallace is out now. For all of ST and probably the start of the year. Al Nipper is coming in as the pitching coach. I'm not that worried since his '95 and '96 campaigns were good ones, where the Sox had the best pitching in the AL.

KY, yes, we should wait until the season is underway to bash him. Nah!!!!!!! Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. He did win a World Series, and whether it was because of him, nothing to do with him, or in spite of him, he still won one. I think a lot of the criticism he got last year was because of his incessant use of Millar and Bellhorn on the right side of his infield when they just were not doing the job and were becoming more liabilities than assets. That, and his continuous use of Embree and Mantei when they were getting lit up like Christmas trees. Of course, he was short in the bullpen all last year so that may not have been all his fault. He probably could have used Papelbon more when he was brought up, though. Perhaps DiNardo as well.

Nipper will do ok. His track record was very good so we are in good shape there. I think all of us are anxious for the pitchers and catchers to report in a week so we can see for ourselves just how much better our pitching is going to be this season. That and a decent defense to go along with a good hitting attack should pay off for us this season. At least that is my opinion.

I was all set to present my underachiever rant and you stole my thunder.

Curse you Sean Patrick

Joe Torre

Bwahahahahahaha

Has anyone in the history of MLB done less with what they've been given?

no.

To be fair to Joe Torre, he has won Four World Series titles. As much as I despise the Yankees that is nothing to sneeze at. Besides, working for George Steinhitler isn't a walk in the park. It is almost hard to even comprehend the s*** Torre has had to endure working for that piece of @#$%^&.
