I don't really get much of a chance to keep up with B.C. basketball, but I just wanted to say congrats to all students and fans on the big win in Chapel Hill tonight. I'm sure after losing the first three ACC games, things must have seemed tough, but it seems you guys are back on track.

I honestly thought BC would lose. They're lacking that big game killer instinct that they had last year. Not to mention they lost one of theyre better 3 point shooters in Steve Hailey.

UNC is in a bit of a down year but a win in Chapel Hill is a win in Chapel Hill no matter how you slice it.

I had switched rooms at my house and my new room is not hooked up for cable yet (and I got an XBOX 360) so I haven't really bothered recently.

They lost a motherload last season after the championship and they got a lot of kids on the floor w/out any real experience. The 11 wins they have are a matter of the quality of opposition which has been rather poor although in fairness to Roy Williams club they did beat Kentucky in Lexington.

They still have David Noel who can jump outta the gym, and I guess that freshman Tyler Hansborough is something (I don't see it at all, I see a tall kid who's just benefitting from his height).

HAHAHAHA, I didn't get Madden and I'm working on getting XBOX Live (I need a diff internet provider, but my parents who pay the bill are reluctant to switch from AOL) I got Ridge Racer 6. The whole thing is amazing, I absolutely love it. I've put some songs on it and plan on using it to its fullest capabilities. But I will let you know if I get XBOX Live and Madden so you can destroy me (I'm not great at Madden )

 

Anyway, I have tremendous respect for UNC(even though I don't like 'em), always a solid program and have some sort of talent, which is either young and unproven and a year or so away; or experienced and superstars and ready for a deep run at the championship.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that a road win in the ACC is a tough thing to accomplish and thats definately a feat worth being excited about for the BC fans, especially at the Dean Dome.

No doubt. Huge win for BC. I don't care what the state of UNC basketball is (not saying they're bad), it'll never be easy to go into Chapel Hill and escape with a win,

to me their albatross is their lack of an outside game but sean marshall and dudley showed up and hit everything they shot....except their fkn free throws..

tyrece rice is a freshman who played like a 22 year old senior with big game experience

he was huge

hinnant never seems to dazzle but the bc offense had 25? assists last nite??

I noticed Michigan beat MState as well. Tough laying points on the road, even when its that short.

 

 

Like you said with BC, unless this freshman becomes the second coming of Stephan Marbury then they're gonna struggle come tournament time. You need the guard play that time of year because its too easy to collapse everyone inside if theres no real perimeter threat to burn you.

Yeah see with my statement above, I should have put a footnote saying that I haven't seen him play much. I just didn't see much out of him (the Miami game @ the Dean Dome where they lost). Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see it. I'll have to sit down and watch them play the next time they are on ESPN. Speaking of that...anyone know when?
