New strategy, pick the opposite team Soxfan picks.

It seems to work well enough that you could start a tout service on it.

Hey, maybe SF#1 should pull a Costanza and do the opposite of his first instinct. It might just turn everything around for him.

Another Steeler TD, 14-0. Peyton's monkey is getting bigger.

Straight picks or spreads?

Straight picks....if you want to see my picks every week you can go to sheriffsully.com, I write a weekly column there titled Nick's Stuff, you can find it in guest columns.

This contest is with the spreads, so your record wouldn't necessarily hold up in this contest.

Actually it would so far, as all the winners either covered ( as favorites ) or won out right ( as under dogs ).

Good point, didn't think about that.

This has to bode well for the Seahawks. I'd like to face the Broncos/Steelers rather than the Colts. I think the team to beat if the Seelers win, will be the Steelers from now on.

You mean this has to bode well for the bears.

This Steelers team is really surprising me. Of course, it's not that hard to beat Indy in the postseason with Manning at the helm

I say this as a Broncos fan...

... yes it is.

Am I tied with you guys now, One Red Seat? I'm too lazy to see who you picked in the NE/Denver game. I won all but one in the first round, and also lost the Washington game, but I picked the Broncos to win.

So I go with one rule of gambling (always bet on Tom Brady) and break one rule (don't ever bet on a Manning) and get burned on both of them.

Damnit

Thats where the strategy comes in, never bet on a game you don't feel comfortable with.

Is Pittsburgh like the only team that do much better on the road in the playoffs than opposed to when they have homefield advantage?

Sure seems like it, though their collapse usually comes in the AFC Championship game, so we'll see. It came earlier last year, but was postponed by bad FG kicking for the Jets.

What a play by Dallas Clark!!!!
