NFL Week 16 Prizes & Picks

Okay fellow sports fans, heads up, this week starts on Saturday. Which means, your picks must be in by noon on 12/24/05. You must follow the rules. They are ( I hate being redundant ) :

 

Use the templates provided ( any edits/corrections use your submission )

 

Indicate when you pick if you're just playing for recognition ( I assume everyone else is playing for prizes and recognition ).

 

You must have 10 posts to win a prize.

 

There must be 8 or more qualified prize contestentsin each category for prizes to be awarded.

 

There are three prize categories :

1) Spread Category : You're picking the favorite or the underdog. The favorite is listed to the left. The middle column is the points that you must win by. This means if the Pats are favored by 4 ( which they are ) they must win by more than 4 for you to win, if they win by 4 its a tie, and less than 4 you loose. If you chose Tampa, that means at kick-off Tampa leads 4 to 0. In other words, Tampa can ; win, then you win, loose by less than 4 then you win, or loose by 4 then you tie.

2) Straight Category : Very simple just pick a winner. Flip a coin, take the favorites, names you like, etc.

3) Total Monday Night Football Points Scored : This is used in two ways. One as a way to determine a winner in the case of a tie. Also as a seperate category for the less advanced. Its very simple , in fact the simplest . Pick a number that you think is the combined score of the two teams playing on Monday Night, the closestwins +/-. An example : the score is 24-10 = 34 pts, the person that picked closest to 34 wins either exact, above or below.

On Jets Patriots....last week I originally picked the Dolphins to beat the Jets, then right before I click submit, I changed it, becuase I figured, what if they won and I picked them to lose?? At least if I picked them, and they lost, I wouldn;'t really be mad at myself. Today, I didn't hesitate one bit to pick the Jets. My head and heart are telling me..the Jets are gunna get killed, but seeing Brooks own the stage last week, MNF, Home, day after Chritmas, I wouldn't be surprised if we pulled an upset. And I do think it'll add up to 62 plus...............

cincy just lost at home to the bills 37-27 and potentially just lost the #2 seed, which looks like it will go to Denver

I'm shocked at that. It's not liek the Bengals had nothing to play for either...it was a first round bye at stake. I really am having a hard time believing that they would just throw that game away, which they clearly didn't, I'm just wondering how they lost to the Bills.
