You mention Pavano and Chacon yet Clement and Arroyo get question marks? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Pavano and Wright are known to be injury prone very much so.

Small and Chacon could have had career yaers. Have you heard about them before this season?.... That would be a no

Randy Johnson will be 43 and had an ailing back problem during 2005.

Mike Mussina had an inflamed shoulder and was almsot placed on the DL for the rest of the season, He also had a down year compared to others

Wang was out for 2 months with an inflamed shoulder after pitching in the bigs for just a month. It could be an early warning sign.

Johnson=Schilling

Beckett>Mussina (mussina is old and injuries have hurt him)

Wakefield>Chacon (no need to explain)

Papelbon>Wang

Clement=Pavano (dont no how either will do next year)

The redsox also might add Millwood

the yankees have made NO effort in getting a starter.

The white sox and astros were in the world series last year because they had the 2 best rotations in baseball

This thread is f***ing hilarious. On everyones part. Not just the tool Yankee fans. We have them, idiots, and people doing math equations. This thread should be closed and deleted.

On the YES post press conference Boras was asked where Millwood was going. He alluded he would sign a contract with a very competitive major league team and smiled with Michael Kay. Kay assumed this to be the Red Sox. That makes sense

And Schilling and Beckett are not injury prone. Papelbon has now been seen. Wakefield I will give you that one he baffles the Yankees every year. Pavano who knows.

Wang has now been "seen" as well. Both teams have question marks which is what you can say about any rotation in the big leagues. I'm sure someone could spin the Royals rotation to be the best rotation in the bigs if someone truly tried.

That is very true about Starting rotations. Nobody Knows how the starters will fair out. Johnson could go down. Mussina could go down. Same could be said about the Red Sox rotation. But as good as a pitching staff is you still have to score runs. And I dont think they will get rid of Manny as much as I would like to see it.

I still don't think scoring runs will be a problem. We lost 3 guys from our starting lineup last year. We still have Manny, Ortiz, Varitek, Lowell (who I think has the opportunity for 20 HR's and 85 RBIs in Fenway) and Nixon. All very good run producers. Loretta and Graffanino are also solid guys to insert into the lineup as well. Despite the loss of Damon I don't think we will have problems scoring runs.

hes always been a cocky guy and sometimes ends up saying dumb things because of it. By saying the redsox are dismantling, hes part of the best lineup ever, saying hes the best leadoff hitter in baseball proves how dumb he is

How many pitches is Manny and Ortiz gonna see? Varitek and NIxon doesnt exactly put fear in Pitchers.

They had Varitek and Nixon behind them last year and put up huge numbers. That's not going to be different this year.

ya, that has nothing to do with Damon. They both may see a decline in RBI, but theyll get the same amount of ptiches they saw last year. The Sox actually have a better 5,6,7 than they did last year. Lowell will put up much better numbers than Millar

But you cant replace Mueller's play at 3rd. I hated that guy. Everything down the line he seemed to get to. I know Lowell had some impressive years, except for last year. So cant really predict what he will do. COuld be a good thing a change in scenary.

whoever leads off will score alot of runs. Loretta will abt 1 or 2, depending on who else we get by the time the season starts. Right now the lineup would probaly be

Loretta

Youk

Ortiz

Manny

Nixon

Lowell

Varitek

Graffinino

Stern...

but theres still alot of time to make improvements

lowell is one of the best defensive 3B in the league. Hes better defensively than Mueller. Offensively, he has more power, but Mueller has a better AVG and OBP.
