If you want to talk about Big Ten, Big 12, or SEC, by all means, go ahead, who's stopping you?

BTW, Wow. What an impact Syracuse's win over No. 1 UConn had on the Orange's RPI and, therefore, it's NCAA tourney status.

Syracuse went from No. 39 in Ken Pomeroy's RPI rankings to No. 21 on the strength of Thursday's win. Strength of schedule is now 4th in the country.

All we're missing is St. John's and we have the "vintage big east" Semi's tonight. This is the event tonight to be at in the city. 'Cuse/G'town and 'Nova/Pitt, does it get any better?

The garden was absolutely crazy yesetrday. I had some friends that were there for both sessions and said the night session was nothing like the afternoon.

Although I think Syracuse will have the strongest fan base tonight, gtown, pitt, and nova will have a ton of fans also...i don't think it's going to be as a decided advantage as we all thing. Either way - I can't wait...the garden is going to be absolutely rocking tonight. If you're a real fan of any of these teams and don't live to far away, i think it would be a crime not to be there.

When Gerry steps on that court tonight - the chants will start....what a great venue for the big east tournament...i can't think of a better place to have it.

holy s***, what a game

Down 15 at the half, GMAC did it again, hitting 5 three pointers in the second half.

How about that for a trilogy? Syracuse made yet another comeback in the Big East Tournament to knock off Georgetown and advance to the championship game Saturday night.

Down 57-53, GMAC hit a 3-pointer with 48.4 seconds left to bring the Orange within one point. He then assisted on Eric Devendorf's fastbreak layup with 9.8 seconds left to give SU its only lead of the game.

Unreal.

First team in BIG EAST history to win a game after having played an overtime game the night before.

HOW YOU LIKE THAT!!!!!!!

I couldn't believe it, G-Mac with yet ANOTHER!!!!!!! 3-pointer with under 50 seconds left in the game, and 5 in the HALF!! UNBELIAVABLE(screw spelling)!!!!!!!

seriously, we lose to depaul by 39 a week ago, and to Nova on senior day.

Like I've been saying so long, McNamara is the guy I want with the ball in the last minute, no one else.

They could not have surprised me anymore. At half I thought they had just hit the wall, then they come out all fired up, Matt Gorman is huge and Gerry is just Gerry. How cool was it to see Pearl, Derrick Coleman and Lawrence Moten out on the floor celebrating?

Looks like Maryland is playing its way into...the NIT, down 27-8 to BC

and #16 Pitt up on #2 Nova 26-19 with 1:50 left in the half.

Michigan State up on #9 Illinois by 5 with about 15 mins. left in the 2nd Half.

My head is still spinning over these last few days, reminds you of West Virginia from a year ago.

G-Mac, overrated? You've got to be kidding me.

Gerry's legacy just keeps on growing and we just keep on winning, I still don't really believe it, I'm just waiting to wake up.

Nope, I'm not dreaming.

#16 and moving up.

Wow, WHAT A GAME!, man I was jumpin ouuta my chair. I was worried in the begining when they took GMAC out early but they certianly recovered in the 2nd half. Another thrilling last 2 minutes and I'll really be pullin for them againts Nova/Pitt which would be amazing if they came close to winning.

Looks like it will be Pitt/SU, both teams playing their 4th game in 4 days.

#6 vs a #9 seed, wow.

61-47 Pitt with 1:45 left in the game.

Trying to beat 3 ranked opponents in 3 days (#1, #23, #16?)

Anyone who saw the Pitt/'Nova game, Allen Ray had a major eye injury and his eyeball actually popped out momentarily.

My prayers are with him and his family.

Get Well Soon.

I saw it live, and then they actually showed a slow mo replay ... horrible. Terrible break for Ray ... best of luck on a speedy recovery ... if it's even possible.

Howd they beat Nova, terrible news bout Ray, but when I was watchin Pitt couln't do much against em and Nova was drainin Tre's. In other news BC smoked Maryland right from tthe get-go. I onl watched the 1st half it was so easy. They came out like 14-2 and got it to like 30-14 it was ridiculous, Smith was great again, so now we move on and face the Heels.

What the hell? Why isn't BC-UNC televised? That is so f***ing Brokeback.

Probably blacked out for the Boston markets (I really don't get why they do that) but I saw some of the game, wasn't really concerned with it because I am glad that Duke won and JJ's OK.

Channel 38, I think. I was listening to Ted on WEEI, it was a pretty good game from what I heard, with Tyrese Rice comin up big and SMith havin another monster game. Dudley was also good hittin a key 3 that put us up 12 with like 5 minutes left. It was a more sure victory then the score shows

How 'bout them Eagles? I'm feeling good about the game tomorrow vs. Duke. Played them real tough the first time, and we just beat the favorites to win the ACC tourney anyway. If BC can win the ACC tourney in their first year in the conference....wow. They should get a number 2 seed if they win tomorrow. No question.

Mac-Nificent

s***, I've been out all night and just woke up like an hour ago, I am never drinking again..

Like Boeheim Said, "But this kind of performance for four days in a row, I haven't seen anyone on any team, I haven't seen any one guy do what Gerry did here this week. Not even close."

I'll give us a #6 seed in the Tourney.

The Way this team is playing right now, I don't know of anyone who actually WANTS to play us right now.

yeah thats a joke considering they just beat cincy, uconn, pitt, and gtown in 4 consecutive days

Still dont deserve a 5 seed. An 11 loss team shouldnt be a 5 seed. Sorry man, its just not right. West Virginia and Cal were both better than them in that bracket. Terrible non-conference, and quite a few bad losses, losing conference record, IMO isnt enough for a 5 seed.

Posted
They're annoncing the seeds and I'm sick to my stomach. How does Syracuse get the same rank as Pitt? Cuse played 5 good bball games all year, Pitt was in the top 20 all year ... complete ********.

I was hoping that Villanova would be in the Washington DC bracket and UConn would get the Minneapolis bracket. For both National Championship runs, UConn came from a region out West. Plus, Josh Boone and Rudy Gay are both from Maryland, so playing in close by Washington DC might have them distracted some.

Don't think Cincy should have been left out, it should have been the 34 BEST at large teams. I'd like to see some of those otheres teams that were in play in the Big East or ACC.

Now on to A&M. They've only lost 8 games, however, they dont play well against a zone defense. Plus 'Cuse is the hottest team out there right now.

Iona could be a nasty test for LSU IMO.

McNamara-Redick matchup in the Sweet-16 would be a major media frenzy.

Good news:

We play Texas A&M in the first round. They basically got in the tourney on the strength of one win (vs. Texas).

Second round matchup vs. LSU or Iona. Two beatable teams.

Bad news:

We'd match up with Duke in the Regional Semi-Final.

The 5/12 game has been the biggest upset trap historically. Almost every year at least one 5 loses to a 12.
