That's Felix Hernandez of the Mariners. Felix Rodriguez was on the Yanks last year and the Giants before that.

And after the Giants, and before the Yankees he was on the Phillies. Traded by the Giants to the Phillies for Rickey Ledee in 2004, then prior to the 2005 season he was traded to the Yanks for Kenny Lofton.

Kind of off topic, but I just wanted to thank you for creating this thread. For a yankee fan you do a lot of good around here and are a valuable member of the community. Thanks. (that's not to say that most yankee fans aren't valuable members of communities, but that you've been a great poster and contributer since I joined).

Kapler among invitees

By Boston.com Staff

The Red Sox today invited 20 non-roster players to spring training in Fort Myers, including injured outfielder Gabe Kapler.

Kapler, who ruptured his Achilles’ in September, is very unlikely to be ready to return to action by Opening Day. According to a source close to Kapler who spoke with the Boston Herald, he expects to be ready to return to the field by early May. He could contend for the team's fourth outfielder spot upon his return.

Also among the invitees is former Yankee Enrique Wilson, who played in 22 games with the Cubs last year. The 32-year-old utility infielder is a close friend of Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez.

Other invitees include righthanders Tim Bausher, Matt Ginter and Jimmy Serrano, as well as lefthanders Craig Breslow, Mike Bumatay, Mike Holtz and Phil Seibel. Catcher Ken Huckaby, utilityman Willie Harris, infielders Trent Durrington, Luis A. Jimenez, Rodney Nye, Dustin Pedroia and Josh Pressley, and outfielders Luke Allen, Ron Calloway, Gabe Kapler, Tyler Minges and Dustan Mohr round out the group.

I didnt expect Enrique Wilson, but Id still take Willie Harris over him

Former BoSox & Oakland A, Scott Hatteberg is going to Cincinatti

Rotoworld: Reds signed first baseman Scott Hatteberg, who had been with the Athletics, to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

Not very impressed with this, especially since it's a major league deal and Cincinnati already had a full 40-man roster. Hatteberg isn't even of a lot of use as a defensive replacement. He could be a fine pinch-hitter, but the Reds already have one of those in Jacob Cruz, and unlike Cruz, Hatteberg isn't an option in the outfield. He's not someone who should be guaranteed a job at this point of his career.

Hey, anyone notice that since the Mets lost two of their players who have hot wives (Kris Benson [Anna] And Mike Piazza [Alicia]), Omar Minaya replaced them with yet another two "Mr. I Have A Hot Wife" players?

Paul LoDuca: Sonia LoDuca

and now...

Jos? Lima: Melissa Lima

Sorry guys.

the red sox won't carry a backup DH on the bench. they want versatility on the bench. since durazo can't play the field that good he is pretty much useless to a team like the red sox who will not waste a bench spot on a backup DH.
