The heat have no one to guard Garnett or Rondo which causes the defense to collapse around them giving Pierce and Allen a chance to get open shots. I thought the regular season proved that the Celtics matchup well with the Heat, and I think the first half proved it. Should be a close series, even without Bradley or Bosh.

I'm pretty worried about Allen... Already 4 or 5? Missed ft's today?

I honestly think that the FT has little to do with his ankle and more to do with his psyche right now. He has no confidence. His poor three point shooting is 50/50 head game/injury, IMO.

Could've sworn everyone said that exact same thing last season. And then the Heat came out and proved yet again why the regular season doesn't mean dick.

One half of one game proves nothing. Hell the Celtics only looked good in the 2nd quarter anyway, the first quarter was lolfail.

Rondo was playing with one arm, that had a huge impact on the series... I'm not saying we are going to win, but I don't think conclusions can be drawn for last years series.

But your right about the first half, I just thought the 2nd showed to me that we are going to make this a series, and that it's not going to be a laugher.

The home team won the first three games, but then Rondo went down and the Heat had a much easier matchup at point and won the next two.

I know times are different, but anyone remember the old pacer/Knicks series or Detroit vs anybody? With the officiating nowadays, both teams would of fouled out in the first half back then

Hornets win the draft lottery/Anthony Davis. Fans are crying conspiracy but I have absolutely no idea what the NBA would get out of rigging the lottery in their favor.

I'm not saying it was rigged, but "if" it was, the conspiracy theorists will say it was promised to the future buyer of the hornets? And it would get the NBA out of running the hornets.... I don't believe it, just saying

If the NBA gave a s*** about the Hornets, they wouldn't be keeping them in New Orleans. That market has proven time and time again that they do not care about that team. Larry Ellison's been beating the NBA's door down trying to get a franchise, he's got super-deep pockets and could have taken the Hornets to San Jose (wild card but hard to see it being worse than New Orleans). Why bend over backwards and rig a lottery for Tom Benson?

If Brooklyn had won, the conspiracy stuff might hold some water.

I could see it. Take a look at past lottos

2012- Anthony Davis, traded CP3 before the season, new owner.

2011- Kyrie Irving, lost LeBron in the offseason

2008- Derrick Rose, gets drafted by the hometown team.

Not really saying it is rigged but there could be a trend.

Please be joking. I really don't want to unleash a tirade.

Cleveland had two top picks. The odds were heavy in their favor. It happens.

Back to the lottery - the Nets got the 6th pick, so that pick is going to the Blazers. Once Deron Williams and Gerald Wallace jump ship, Billy King will have traded the #3 pick in 2010 and 2011 and the #6 pick in 2012 for literally nothing.

Guy's a f***ing idiot.

The game changing Rondo mash by Wade was simply an unacceptably bad no-call.

The Celtics should simply sit out the rest of the playoffs. Don't show up, literally. No matter how hard they play, they can't win with that kind of officiating. Show the NBA that the teams can't tolerate s*** like this from David Stern's master plan. There is a difference between being a homer, and looking at the last two games.

All the technicals, fouls, close calls and more clear-path fouls ( in one series than I've seen all yr??) are going the heats way.... I'll be the last person to cry conspiracy, but I will say the second gm was manipulated more by the refs than any game should be

Edit: manipulated might be too strong a word..... But if you take that same exact game with a different set of officials, I'd say the celtics win that gm 9/10 times....oh well, on to Boston...gotta bring it to at least save some face
