As much as I think people s*** on LeBron for no reason at all, this brilliance deserves recognition:

I assume Ital went nuts when Ginobili and Neal hit those incredible shots. I'm not even a Spurs fan, and even I was excited.

At least one of my teams won a playoff series. Memphis is a much better team than expected (the Southwest is probably the best division in basketball) and while it sucks having the Spurs lose, I'd rather have them lose to the Grizzlies than to the f***** Lakers again.

Hmm... which team in the NBA seems to have a thing for aging veterans, and desperately needs a center?

I can dream, right?

Duncan is a power forward. I wouldn't put him at Center. I also don't see Duncan going elsewhere. I'm just happy that the Spurs have some young talent so they might not fall to the worst team in the league once Duncan is gone. I mean losing here sucks, but Memphis is actually a pretty good team, and I doubt that the Spurs were going to win the title anyway, so I'd rather have them lose here than to the Lakers or a team like the Heat in the finals. Now I'll get over the loss a lot quicker.

To be honest I'm shocked the Spurs lost the series. Easy trip for OKC to the Western Conference finals.

Memphis beat OKC 3 times in the regular season.

I agree that Duncan should retire. He's clearly on the decline. His best years are way behind him. He's got nothing to prove. The Spurs aren't going to seriously contend next year unless something drastic happens, and he should end his career with the Spurs. All-time greats shouldn't hang around and let themselves become role players (See Shaq and Pippen) unless they haven't won a ring (See Malone and Payton). Go out on top, that's the way to go.

Anyways, I'm glad the Bulls aren't facing the Magic. Rose always takes punishment from Howard, and there was one game earlier in the season where he looked tentative against the Magic because of Howard. Plus, he just took a beating against the Pacers. The Hawks have size, which will give the Bulls some matchup problems, but it should still be in the bag whereas the Heat-Celts series is a complete tossup.

ok city is the deepest most talented team in the league picked them before the playoffs to go to the finals and if we lose to miami I hope they go against them and f*** them up.

There is no 'way to go' when you're retiring. You retire when you want to retire. If Duncan wants to retire rather than go somewhere else, fine, but he's got plenty of good basketball left in him and could easily boost some other team to the next level, be it OKC, the Bulls, possibly keep Dallas relevant for a little longer. So I think retiring now would be jumping the gun. There is life after San Antonio, believe it or not. He might even win another ring or two on one of these other teams. THAT's going out on top, if anything.

You are playing embarrassing!! MAN UP. You are f***ing acting like you have never been here before. Just play some defense. Don't leave them wide open on every f***ing three!!! Your staple is your defense. Show it in the 2nd half or just go plan your vacation.
