White Sox buy out contract of Frank Thomas

I just saw on ESPNEWS that Frank Thomas' contract has been bought out by the White Sox. (I dont have a link yet but I will provide one)

 

I wonder where he goes from here.

I don't think he's going to go anywhere big. He was injury plagued last year and didn't put up the best numbers.

Frank did bop 12 HRs in only 105 ABs last year, but he's played in more than 75 games only twice in the last 5 years. He'd be an injury risk, but it wouldn't surprise me to see an offensively challenged, deep pocketted AL team to see if he can DH for them for a year. Anaheim? Baltimore?

I believe he would have made 10+ mill this year, so I doubt he'll get a better contract.
