Maybe it's just me, but everytime I see a guy who is touted as having a killer slider, all i can say is "ho hum" The sliderjust doesn't seem that impressive to me (even RJ's). I'll admit part fo the reason is because its hard to see the actual movement on the ball from the standard CF camera. 10 times out of 10 I will pick the guy with the killer split instead of slider

I like fastball-split better than fastball-slider, personally. A split is easier to be consistent with, while sliders hang more often. Either pitch thrown properly is unhittable.
