It was one year ago today, October 17 when Dave Roberts made the greatest stolen base in Red Sox history. Moments later he dashed home with a slide and a spin and rest is history. No longer with the Sox, his place in the hearts of the Nation is set in stone. Therefore, from now on I will always mark this day as Dave Roberts Day.

I wouldn't mind having him back if we loose Damon he's a solid fielder and he can really run the bases as we have seen last year in the playoffs.

Do you think the "fans" would be so forgiving if he's hitting like Pokey Reese come July? Actually, speaking of ridiculous fan infatuations, don't answer that one.

He can'r run the bases if he can't get on the bases.

 

A .340 OBP is certainly respectable from a very good defensive CF, though just not out of the leadoff spot.

I loved Poey even if he didn't hit, he was the man. His glove work was so amazing he tops Renteria twice over.

Pokey has been a fan favorite everywhere he's been. I don't really understand it but I loved him in his short stay with the pirates and his time with the sox. POKEY FOR PRESIDENT!
