moss instead of murton (murton was traded to the cubs in the nomar deal) and probaly lowrie at SS and pedroia at 2B. Luis Soto should also be some where in there.

i think are pitching is very strong . Lester and Papelbon in the front of the rotation and Delcarmen and Hansen in the 8th and 9th is pretty good. The only problem is there isnt much power. Marte is an a exception and maybe Soto.

I could have sworn Cla Meredith was no longer with the club. Am I mistaken?

I could be, I might have just thought that because everyone seemed to give up on him. I would be really happy to learn he is still a sox.

he is, he just did terrible in AAA

ya he had a 5.59 era in 49 innings in AAA last year.

Also, does anyone know about the rule 5 guy we got, Jamie Vermilyea???

He can be a pretty solid reliever at best, but he isn't anything domiant. He isn't worth a roster spot and should be sent back to Toronto for 25,000.

That lineup does have some power, I won't nitpick it because it's a better chance that Soxfan says something intellegent, then those collection of nine players batting in the same lineup.

Anyway, I'd say Sota, Marte, Moss, Shoppach, Murphy, Egan, and Lowrie could all hit 20 HR's or more.

What are the odds of that ever happening? Practically the entire team would be homegrown by the Sox, which we know wouldnt happen.

True, but this is all hypothetical, of course, probably a few will wash out, or others will be traded. I think the only cant-misses are Lester, Hansen, Delcarmen, Marte, and Pedroia. That's still a good amount of core home-grown players who can do damage and provide a good clubhouse for anyone coming in to pacth up the rest of the roster.

as long as we keep marte, pedroia, lester and papelbon im happy. I dont know who you could get in return for the #1 prospect of 2005. All this Marte for Joey Gathright stuff is crap.

that has to be an old list. it doesn't even have any angels prospects on it like brandon wood, howie kenrick, jeff mathis, kendry morales. it has kotchman and macpherson though. that is definitely an old list and not from this season. if it is.....it is a pathetic list.
