That guy (McCarver) is an idiot. He just said that if the Yankees win and the Guardians loose the Yankees clinch the division title. I might be doing the math wrong in my head. If we loose today and win tomorrow we are still tied with the Yankees and there will be a play-off game. I can't stand how pro-yankees he is. The last 2 years during the play-offs I would freak out listening to that a-hole. I wish we had a good FM station that broadcasted sox games.

no its true, onec the Guardians lose it will be their 2nd loss in the 3 game series to the white sox. that puts them out of the pitcure mostly, and if sox are able to win tomorrow they will be tied again with NY. Yanks will win the series automatically, because of the more wins they have had against Boston.

BrentD22, if the Yankees win and the Guardians lose, then they do clinch the division. If they win on Sunday it is theirs. If we win on Sunday, it is a tie, but we will be ahead of the Guardians in the WC race. Since we and the Yankees will be going to the playoffs, they win the division by their head-to-head record against us. Playoff games are only played if they determine who is going to the playoffs. Since we would both be going, they wouldn't play it.

Postseason 2004, I couldn't handle Buck or McCarver. They can't call a game. They are so biased. Heck, Buck is just as bad calling NFL games.

I agree RS. We need to get RJ out of the game by the middle of 6 at least to make a run at it. You have to figure Torre will use Gordon and Mo for 3 innings. This team still has some fight in it. A quick inning here could spell trouble though.
