I mentioned this before but one thing people will recognize about Ortiz: he will be one of the biggest Red Sox legends when he retires. Not only is he one of the best hitters in Red Sox history, one of the best DH hitters in history, helped guide this team to its first World Series in 86 years, but he is one of the most loved characters in New England. Everybody loves this guy and how could you not? Name one player in baseball history who hits like he does to win ball games? Forget about it!......he will be even more recognized for his heroics 30 years from now when we all look back upon it.

Well the Sox have their work cut out for them. They still have to win 3 games, and the Yanks would only have to win 2 of 3 to clinch.

If the Sox win only 2 out of the 3 then they're still tied up. A game 4 tiebreaker showdown?

Will they win all 3? I wouldn't bet much on that. Their backs are really up against the wall; IMO they are under just as much pressure now as when they went down 3-0 last year in the second round of the playoffs.

I wouldn't say 'as much'... but it's pretty close. They do atleast have a little bit of room for error, this time.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MANNY!

Manny was MVP last year in the World Series, lets not forget that.

I know people are questioning our pitching, but our hitting can be deadly.

SchillingIsTheNatural, your correct, as time goes by we will appreciate his accomplishments even more!

Sort of Like Cam Neely!!

lol

GO REDSOX

LOL he was awesome. Him and Craig Janney (spelling?). Janney used to piss me off though cause he would NEVER shoot the puck. Wow I loved that team with Bourque, Glen Wesley, Randy Burridge?, Dave Poulin, Don Sweeney, Andy Moog....memories

But enough about the Bruins

as for the MVP race....check out ESPN poll question.....only a couple states have A-Rod as the MVP over Ortiz....
