Turns out he tore his ACL in his left knee and wonm't be returning anytime soon. IMO this is a huge loss to our secondary, he was the veteran and leader of that crew, now that is left to Eugene WIlson and Asante Samuel, loeaving a big hole at SS. Who do u think will fill in for him? and do you think we're still contenders to goin deep into the playoffs?

Well if we could beat the Steelers without him, then there is no doubt in my mind that we are still Super Bowl contenders. The news isn't too surprising for me, I pretty much expected the worse after watching him go down yesterday.

All this does is put the spotlight on Eugene Wilson, and I firmly believe that Wilson is as good as Harrison. Hes just as hard of a hitter, and IMO, hes better in coverages. Granted we havent seen much leadership skills from him, but he is still one of the better safeties in the league.

it is a big blow, and harrison has been my favorite player of the Pats (even though its hard to just pick one fav), a big asset to the team. Kind of Ironic Harrison goes down early in the season when playing the Steelers at Hines Field, same what happened to Ty Law who also missed the entire season. Eugene Wilson as we've seen many times come up to make big tackles, interceptions etc. Gus Scott will get more playing time by this happening

This will be a huge accomplishment if we win a 4th SB this year, with our coordinaters gone, Bruschi, Law, and Harrison all gone, would be a very telling year that we basically don't depend on one sole player besides Tom Brady, he's the only player where I s*** myself if he goes down.

well you won a superbowl without Law already, so yeah

Kinda like Brian Roberts elbow...

Yeah, just nasty injuries. I still think the Pats hold the most important edge on all of the teams in the AFC. Thats the mental edge. After last year I doubt either the Steelers and the Colts could beat the Pats in a big spot. Yesterday the Pats took away "Fast" Willie Parker and forced Big Ben to try and win the game and he couldnt.

Yeah, if you look at the Colts this year, yeah, theyre defense has been nothing short of spectacular, but Manning hasnt thrown a TD since Week 1. He hasnt been the dominant force he was the past few years, so I still think they are beatable, perhaps more beatable than ever. I still think that the Pats are the best team in the conference.

Uhh... Philly should scare you... not only the best offense in the league, but they have a pretty damn solid defense. Westbrook is probably the 2nd best all around back to LaDanian Tomlinson, McNabb is one tough son of a bitch, and could be one of the best passers in all of football, TO is TO. I have never seen a team like this that can score like they do with just 2 main options.

Philly is far from the best offensive team in the league.

Their offense looked absolutely awful against the Falcons. The only good defensive team they've played.

The other two teams they played are the 49ers and Raiders... the Raiders defense, especially on paper, is horrid. The 49ers defense isn't so bad, but you still can't claim greatness for putting up the numbers they did against them.

Trust me, when you have one of the top 3 WRs and QBs, and 2nd best all around running back, with solid tight ends and a great line, they are one of the best all around offenses in the leage. They might not have shown it so far, but if they ever do what they are capable of, they will be a tough team to beat.

Ok... so you no longer think it's amazing that they can score so easily with just two main options considering the other talent?

They played a good defense... they got shut down. They've since played two mediocre defenses and have been great. I'm more prone to say that the one against the good defense on Monday Night Football is the indicator of how good their offense is.

Your last post made no sense to me, haha. I think I might know what your trying to say but I'm not sure, and honestly, I am too tired to argue with you. So I'll just keep it simple. Philly will be in the Super Bowl.

Eh, nevermind... it doesn't matter enough for me to explain what I meant.

You're right... no team in the NFC can touch 'em come playoff time... but what's that really saying when the NFC is known to be the MUCH weaker conference?

The only thing that scares me about them is TO. W/o Harrison, tehy might have a LOT of trouble with him if we make it to the SB. I think the real test for our defense is the Colts, if we dominate them I will have no dought we could stop Philly. Plus, Philly has almost no one to test them in the NFC, which is why theyll make it to the SB.
