Oh for Christ's sake... It was a good game. A great Baseball game. It's not a healthy loss, because the Yanks lost and this could have made this weekend's seris more funny than anything. But worst case scenario for this weekend is the Sox get swept, meaning they leave NY up by a game.

 

If the Sox win one game this weekend, they leave NY with a 3 game lead. If they take 2 outa 3, it's a 5 game lead. Don't worry about this one....... How many times have the Sox been shut down 2 games in a row. The offense will show up tomorrow.

 

On the bright side, another quality start for Boston and none for the Yanks. Foulke is even pitching better.

i know that but to leave bases loaded back to back innings, last 6 outs were all Ks, i dont find a sox shutout any great game. clement did not deserve that loss

Well maybe if Renteria could hit a baseball. Anyone else notice he's playing like Millar did last year, one good month and that's it. Granted at least his defense has improved, but his bat has been quiet.

We have a really rough time with pitchers like Byrd. Changes speed a lot and locates all over around the 'zone. McCarthy did it on Labor day. Rodrigo Lopez pitches the same way and gives us fits (usually, not last week). If a team in the East had 3 righties that locate and 2 lefties (with 3 of the 5 being rookies) we'd go 0-19 against them.

.............That's why I feel Small will do very well tomorrow.

dude cut your f***ing rants on edgah, it wasnt edgah who cost the game, dumbass. It was the whole f***ing offense. he wasnt only one who struck out. In the 8th Manny continued his power slide striking out with 2 man on, papi struck out with bases loaded. In the 9th John Olerud led off by striking out, Millar struck out with 2 men on, and then Petagine struck out with bases loaded to end the game. 9 men left on base wasnt because of Edgar. By the way Edgah was 1 of the 5 Sox batters to get a hit, his was a double

Tough loss for Clement he pitched a pretty good game still. Can't wait for them to come out to Toronto I'm hopefully gonna get to see him pitch.
