What! No way man. I'm sorry I'm not mad at anyone, but I just watched again on DVR in slow-mo along with the slow-mo on NESN so it was super slow-mo and I can see Tek gather the ball and his glove is on the runners knee, just before the runner touchs home.

Now after saying that I can't amagine any umpire has super-slow-mo in his head and in live full speed he looks way out so I can't really complain honestly about the call (even if I am complaining). I hate loosing (especially against AAA teams).

There was an angle from the first base side of the play. They slowed it way down after the game. I then slow-mo'd it even more and I could see it frame by frame. It was pretty clear to me. Oh well moving on.

This is a good arguement on why replay shouldn't be allowed in baseball. No doubt we'd be here 10 mins later still waiting for them to make thier decision. Even if this call went our way it would kinda suck waiting for them to check the film ect.

Varitek caught the ball with his glove on the runner, before he touched the plate. I realize we should have scored earlier but the runner was out.

I don't mean to be rude but it really doesn't look that close to me the glove was on the runner when it was cought and his right foot is 6 inches from home plate.

Not that the Sox helped themselves with three blown innings with the bases loaded, but Varitek appeared to have the plate covered.

Regardless of the last out you have to look at how we played the game today, right down at the level KC was. Let's get ready for the Shillmeister tomorrow night shall we as we roll home for Detroit.

Thankfully NY blew it.

nice boys you had a shot to go up 4 1/2

best offense: Kevin Millar breaking out of his slump and getting a homerun

dishonorable mention: having bases loaded 3 consecutive innings including leaving 14 men on base and not being able to scratch out anything is just bad

best pitching: Matt Clement his 3 straight consecutive quality start who deserved another win sox had chances to break out some rusn while he was still up on the mound, chad bradford coming in with bases loaded and 1 out and struck out the last two

dishonorable mention: mike timlin as the temp closer, bases loaded back to back games and this is the royals, actually schilling was better closer than him its lookin so far

Doesn't really matter the team it is, when you're being used as much as Timlin has been recently, you get tired. So I'm not worried about it just yet. Also it was raining last night, ball a little slippery?

I thought they had him at the plate. But what's done is done they just need to rebound today and go out and put some runs on the board early. And hopefully Schilling will have a strong game.
