manny and ortiz(200+ RBIS)that is the WHITE sox! not the RED sox!let's trade edgar and play our long ball
You're an idiot you know that? Edgar Renteria hits out of the #2 spot in the line up, the goal of the number two spot is to get on base so the #3 and #4 spots can hit him in, the fact that he plays small ball and gets on base actually helps the team more than it appears. Manny and Ortiz are leading in RBI you know why? Because Damon and EDGAR get on base in front of him. I swear the #2 spot in the lineup gets so little credit in the eyes of uneducated fans, and thats really too bad because great two hole hitter like Edgar do a great job and the average joe fan goes "OMFG this gui sucks!! Lets go tWadE for somOne who hits more home Runs and RbI"

Stop posting and come back when you learn a little bit about the sport.

By the way YankeesSuck great stat about Tejada leading the league in errors last year. Wasn't he in discussions for MVP last year? Yeah I'm pretty sure he was.

Why in the world would you want to trade trot?

Why in the world would you want Ron Villone?

Why in the world would you want to bring over a pitcher from Japan when we have people waiting in the wings?

What are you planning on doing with Wells(who I believe will want to come back), Wakefield, Arroyo, Miller, and Jermi Gonzo?

Didn't you notice last off season that Theo isn't going to over pay for pitchers(AJ)?

Why would you want to sign a washed up old turd like Juan Gone?

How do you expect us to get Wags as the closer?

Why would we pay Foulke as much as we're going to be to be a set-up man?

Yeah man great plan. I'm sure the Sox will be beating down your door.

LOL... take it easy paco, IT'S JUST THE INTERNET! Anyways, I'd trade Trot because I'd love to have a RF that's healthy for a change & a RF that can actually hit LEFTIES!!!!!!! Geesh, all this time in the majors & the moron can't hit lefties! About Ron Villone, I wouldn't trade him straight up for Trot,he'll be part of a package.. About the Japanese pitcher, you morons should do your homework, every team in the majors is waiting for him to be a F.A, he throws a new pitch they call a gyroball or some s***, throw in the upper 90's + he has a filthy slider!!!!! About Juan Gone, didn't I say PROJECT you REJECT?!?! Project as in low price high reward

Do you even know who that japanese pitcher is? Go google his name & then talk s*** f*** face... About Trot, wouldn't you want a RF that's actually healthy? Wouldn't you want a RF that can actually hit lefties?

Wow nice name calling and !!!!!'s you've really gone a long way to prove your maturity. You also calls me about 15 different names in this post. I think it's clear someone can't have an argument above the 5th grade level.

How many lefties can you name that hit left handed pitching well? I bet you could count them on one hand. And wow blame the guy for having injuries.

No I don't know who the Japanese pitcher is, and you know what? Most people who post a players name that no one knows about, posts his stats too, but you didn't. Has there even been any talk about the Sox bringing him over? I'm sure if the Sox are interested in him they're not the only ones, and again ... THEO WILL NOT OVER PAY FOR PITCHERS.

Who said The Pads wanted Wells, and who said Wells would stay in the league to go back to SD?

Again you're missing the big point on Wags and AJ. Wasn't it made clear this past off season that THEO ISN'T GOING TO OVER PAY FOR PITCHING? And after last off season isn't it clear that these big name pitchers are going to get over paid?

If these are your fantasys then maybe you should just keep them to yourself instead of posting them on here and showing how little baseball/red sox knowledge you have.

I'm really sorry man. I mean god forbid anyone disagrees with you.

Sox will not trade Wells, dude he signed a 2 year contract, and why would sox trade him for a prospect?? oh yea Wake has been inconsistent, leads the pitching staff in wins and innings pitched, Wake will not be in the bullpen in 2006. See his last game he pitched in, he retired the last 16 batters he faced. Schilling is getting better with each start he does, and I see him returning as well as Wells if he doesnt retire. Sox will most likely give Wade Miller another chance, and there is still a possibility he could return this month. I do agree with you on Bronson, he's been the most inconsistent of the starters, have him or Gonzo as the long reliever next season

1. Schilling

2. Wells

3. Clement

4. Wakefield

5. Miller (AJ Burnett if Sox dont give Miller an extension, as well questions about boomer and schil)

6. Papelbon

And by the way Wagner, is looking for a 3 year deal at just under $30 million, I dont see Theo shelling that out.

nope Derek Lee will still be on his contract with the cubs, heres a list of free agent 1st baseman this offseason: Rafael Palmeiro (helllll no), Jose Offerman, Frank Thomas (Player + Team option), J.T. Snow, John Olerud, Roberto Petagine, Dave Hansen, Brad Fullmer, Julio Franco, Aubrey Huff, Tim Salmon, Doug Mientkiewicz (Vesting Option), Kevin Millar, Paul Konerko, Dmitri Young (Team Option), Scott Hatteberg (Team Option), Eduardo Perez, Robert Fick, Greg Colbrunn, Mark Sweeney, Tino Martinez (Team Option), Ruben Sierra, Daryle Ward, Travis Lee, Olmedo Saenz, Erubiel Durazo, Brian Buchanan

Omg, I can't believe that you're questioning my baseball knowledge yet you don't know who Daisuke Matsuzaka is...LOL@ YOU! About Wells, SD & Boston had trade talks involving him, mueller & trot, now for who idk ... About Trot, yep, I would upgrade in RF, SHAME ON ME! but like know that he's very loved in beantown I would let you keep him LMFAO! Lighten up guy, really ... About Wake, he'd be my long reliever/6th starter, blame me for wanting to upgrade at every postion, Wake = Perfect for the pen in my opinion & I'd make him s SP because we all know Schill might be done. About Wagner, here we go again, Theo wanted to get him when he was in Houston so I bet Theo go hard after the guy, being that he also tried to get him this summer..REMEMBER!?!?! About the name calling, their just names..lol...

heck if dmitri young declines his team option i've love to see him in a boston uniform...i mean he's fat, but the guy can hit...he'd be much cheaper then huff or konkero...and what's all this talk about burnett? he's not the only great pitcher out there...some good, cheap ones are matt morris, esteban loazia, jarrod washburn, and brian molher...all with ERAs less then 4

oh yeh-SHUT UP JOHNNY BOY :harhar:

I say go after one of Burnett/ Wagner or Morris/ Wagner. Im more worried though about them signing Damon and Timlin. And hopefully either Aubrey Huff or Paul Konerko though I'd rather have Konerko.

um, how old are you? you are just talking like the way ive seen my 10 year old brother talk to his friends online

I am your 10 year old brother, you better stop touching me there before I tell mom!!!!!!! :stop:

oh yeah the wickester is a free agent at the end of the year....35 saves sounds like a keeper to me...man if we had him, wells, and dmitri, we'd have a rather large, but great team
Posted
I agree with Jimmy on this one, i was gonna add Demitri to my list with Olerud on the bench ... Just thought Huff might be a little cheaper after the yr he had that's all ...
Posted
i still like the wickester(bob wickman) as my closer and get his left handed teamate scott saubreck to replace mike myers...clevelend doesn't have the best bullpen ERA for nothing ;)

As indicated these are pitchers both starters and relief who will become free agents

If they want a top-flight starter, then Florida's A.J. Burnett will top their list. The Marlins entertained thoughts of trading him at the deadline, but found themselves in the playoff hunt and pulled back. They still might not be able to satisfy Burnett's demands, but he fits Ricciardi's profile as a young veteran with upside who could fit with Halladay and Lilly. Of course, Boston, New York, and others will contend for Burnett, as well.

Beyond that, there's Angels lefthander Jarrod Washburn, Dodgers righthander Jeff Weaver, the 40-plus Jamie Moyer and Kenny Rogers, and guys like Kevin Millwood, Matt Morris, Jeff Suppan, Tony Armas Jr., Brett Tomko, Jason Johnson, Paul Byrd, and Shawn Estes.Millwood is fascinating. He's 6-10, but the Guardians have scored just 12 runs total in his 10 losses. They have been shut out in four of his last nine starts. ''I don't know what it is," said Millwood. ''There's nothing I can do about it but keep going out there and pitching. Whatever happens happens. There may be better options in relief.

Philadelphia's Billy Wagner and Baltimore's B.J. Ryan, two flamethrowing lefties, are the class of the group. Wagner could be off the market if the Phillies meet his demand for a contract extension by Sept. 1. Beyond that, there's White Sox closer Dustin Hermanson, Red Sox setup man Mike Timlin, Yankees setup man Tom Gordon, Cleveland closer Bob Wickman, and two of his top setup guys, both former Red Sox: lefty Scott Sauerbeck and righty Bob Howry.

Kyle Farnsworth, traded by the Tigers to the Braves, could be much sought after if the Braves don't lock him up, and it looks as if Pittsburgh will make every effort to retain Jose Mesa.

If the Yankees get AJ Burnett, he'll suck, if the Red Sox get him, he wil dominate the AL.

NEVER trust the wick against good hitting teams.

awww come on where's the love for dmitri young? .270, 21 homers, 70 RBIs....thats better than what huff is doing and almost as good as konkero

Dmitri Young is so underrated.
