Another leadoff double stranded by the ChiSox. I take back my earlier comments, they shouldn't just watch out for Minnesota, but Cleveland as well.

EDIT: fixed spelling error

I'm predicting that the CWS are at the beginning of a big slide. Minnesota could win the Central.

very true could we be watching a rehash of the 1978 series when Sox had like a 12 game lead going into August/September and just blew it. I think I heard in the last 20 home games, White Sox has only won 6

Repeating the mantra I've heard from a few other Yankee fans, take the division because I want these guys in the first round.

How about some dap for Chacon? He's been a stud since we rescued him from Colorado.

MFY 3.5

white sox suck, what happened to their offense???!??!?

OR maybe hes just I don't know good??? He's a curveball pitcher in coors, they just don't go together. Anyway great win for the yanks.

Can someone explain to me how the Yanks can have a losing record against teams under .500 and a winning record against the best team in baseball? My prediciton is the White Sox don't make it past the first round of the play-offs. That team just plain cannot hit.

Chacon is my new lover. He is absolutely amazing in the pinstripes and has an ERA under 2 in his starts with the Yankees. He is an absolute blessing.

Two starts against a team that "just plain cannot hit" are good for a pitcher's ERA.

You would agree that the LAA can hit, right? Because he gave up no runs against them. He held down Texas bats and gave up only 3 runs in 2 games against them. The Yanks are 5-1 in Chacon starts, and in that only loss, he left after he gave up only one run to the CWS. He said that he never felt a reason to win when with the Rockies (does anyone?), so IMO he is pretty clutch. To be able to come to the Yankees, under the watcful eye of the Boss, pitch the way he has, esp. against the "best team in baseball", down the stretch, coming from a team like the Rockies, all without cracking has been absolutely incredible. Serious props to Chacon, he has really been a lifesavor.

Winning three starts is clutch?

I thought the Yankees played the Cardinals earlier this season.

Seriously though, he has been a good pick up for the Yankees. Given the way he's pitched, I wish we'd have made a move for him.

I'm so glad picking up someone from the NL West turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Care to explain yourself, RJ? ;)

The hardest part might actually be getting into the postseason. Because the Yankees have the experience (comes with CHOKING, thank you very much, beat you to the punch), Mr. Intagible, etc. etc. That does no good if well, the Yankees don't make it in...
