In the upcoming season do you think the sox should sign graffanino to an extension or give hanley ramirez a shot. Oh yeah and what about bellhorns future with the sox?

Too early to tell with Graff. Playing in Boston is not like playing anywhere else and only time will tell if Graff can handle it long term. As for Hanley, it really depends on how he does when Sept call ups are announced and how he does then (assuming they give him a shot).

i say we resign graff next year and have pedroia back him up and watch graff.

in 2007 move rent to 3rd (like he said he would), hanley at SS, and pedroia at 2B, and youk at 1st (or konerko is we sign him)

Pedroia will get a serious look to make team next year, Tony G. will be resigned, Hanley is a year or two away.

That infield won't get you a World Championship with all those minor leaguers.

Anyways. Leave Graff. He's amazing.

obviously we will have some veteran bench players, and edgar could always move to SS if hanley isnt doing the job right, still hoping for konerko at 1st.

hey ill take this in 2006:

1st base- Paul Konerko/Aubrey Huff

2nd base- Tony Graffanino

3rd base- Kevin Youkilis

Shortstop- yes- unfortunately, I will be forced to accept- Edgar Renteria

The jury is stillout on Graff, if you look at his career numbers he's not been a steady and good player. So far he's been great with the Sox, but how long until he turns into the same Graff who's been kicking around the league from team to team since '96 with a career .266 avg? He hasn't played more than 100 games since 1998. I like most of the rest of the infield. I hope Graff has turned his career around and this is the beginning of a great thing.

Jeez... I hope you don't bring as much pessimism to your personal and professional life. Lighten up and go with the flow a little more. Life's too damn short. Baseball is entertainment, so enjoy it.

I want Mueller at 3rd. He's just about the most clutch hitter out there right now.

Agreed, but we're a little jammed at DH now and next year, unless you want to get rid od David. Also he can't play a utility role due to his knees.

twins could probably go for him in the offseason again, this time with him as DH--besides sox owe big time to youk after what 2005 has been for him so far

Yea but, other than a comphensation draft pick, we'll get nothing for him, since he's a free agent.

Mueller is probably gone next year, Youks will most likely be the starter at third, at second I would liek to see them sign a backup but give Pedroia the start. At first, I have no clue I owuld rather see Konerko, but Huff seems like more of a Theo guy. Short will be Renteria.

I'm in 100% agreement Sizzlin. Pedroia's going to be a special player IMO. He's handling 3A, so let him finish the season there.

The IF, as I'd like to see it:

1B - Konerko

2B - Pedroia, with Tony G backing up

SS - Rent

3B - Youk
