There is no replacement for the best leadoff man in baseball, only plugs to shove in CF. I hope Caveman doesn't wear pinstripes next year because I know Georgie boy is salivating at the thought of covering his OF woes with Damon

It not that I don't trust player quotes, but aah I don't trust player quotes ( Pedro ring a bell ). Matching an offer is no guarentee that a player ( or his agent ) will accept it.

I loved the guy when he first came up. But he reminds me a certain former Oakland, Rockies, now Baltimore player with his base running and fielding jugdement problems . Plus, a hate young player's that are damaged goods.

I've said it a million times, with Damons numbers he is cashing in and it won't be with the Sox. I see the Yankees giving Pierre 15 Million dollars more than he deserves and 2 more years than he should have, so I think he might be out of the picture too.

 

I like Baldelli but the last thing I want ot see is him collapsing in center field at Fenway clutching his knee.

 

I'm sure Theo will find one of htos unknown OBP machines that he allways does. Bototm line I trust in Theo.

I'm saying Pierre is one of those Stienbriener guys who for some odd reason he seems to be infactuated with. Very similar to when he decided to take Sheffield over Vlad.

I wouldn't compare the integrity of Pedro Martinez to Johnny Damon.

 

And there's no question Steinbrenner would take Damon over Pierre if only for the fact that he loves signing ex-Sox to stick it to them, or so he thinks. That's the only reason Alan Embree has a job

Damon and Pedro are one in the same, the only difference is Pedro is smart and knows what he's doing, Damon is just an idiot. Damon may say he wants to stay but I doubt he will when the dollar signs start to pop up.
