Scouting Report:

The thing that White Sox fans can always count on is that even when Buehrle doesn't have his best stuff, he will still find some way to keep his team in the game. That was the case in Buehrles' last start as it was his defense that shined even more than his pitching. Buehrle allowed only one earned run over seven innings and sparkled with plays that made a case for a Gold Glove. Another strong outing could be in the cards with Fenway Park being like a second home to Buehrle. The southpaw is 3-0 with a 2.11 at the famed ballpark.

The left-hander was brilliant over the first five innings of his last start, giving up just one hit. But he gave up three runs in his final inning, the sixth, and took a no decision against the Twins. Wells has been a rock for the Sox of late, surrendering three earned runs or less in his last six starts. This is his first start of the season against the White Sox.

Hah, no, not at all. It looks kickass B) .
Except he used the small player pictures just to piss me off.

What can I say? I'm a trend setter.
Yes, now we all want to be known as Smokey. :D

You know what? Our game threads kick ass. I look at this, I get the roster, the pitcher v. batter results, who's starting and what they look like, a scouting report, along with the time, channel & anything else I need. All while listening to the WEEI pre-game information & interviews. B)

An error? I disagree... He was trying to make a play and it was not possible. An error should be (I believe is) when a player does not accomplish what he should have (the catch). Manny did his best...

He's not pitching bad, just been a little unfortunate. Does anyone else see the White Sox as a paper tiger? I mean, they look good on paper with their win/loss record and pitching. But none of their pitchers are really imposing, and their offense seems to be fueled more by fortunate timing than immense talent.

He always has trouble in the first, and the runs scored on the bloop of all bloops. He's not doing that bad.

I beg to differ because he is mostly dominate in the first inning of each game, allowing just 8 runs in the 1st inning of the 20 previous games, 16 of the 20 not allowing any runs

2.50 ERA in the first inning? Am I doing the math correctly? 20 innings div. 8 runs = 2.50?

(20/8)

OR

.40 ERA in the first inning (8/20)

I was never really good at math!
