Tony G was originally scouted before Bellhorn before the 2004 season but Tony G had opted to go with the Royals because he thought he get more playing time there, something he says he'll regret for not taking the chance with then Sox sooner.

well with runners in scoring position this season with 2 outs on the board, he batted just .129 (4 for 31) with 12 Ks in 31 AB's

 

tony g- with runners in scriping position and 2 outs, like we saw wednesdays game where he hit the double to right field in the 8th to drive in 2 runs, is batting .355 (11 for 31) with 6 Ks

That's one hell of a stat right there. GOt any idea of the RBI numbers in those at bats?

sigh......please dont expect too much from him, hes a nice ballplayer, a great replacement at second base, but he is not going to win any silver slugger awards at second base. The law of averages.....

Granted, but he's boat loads better than what we had.

you mean dude if he gets back--so far hes gonna be released from the team after the 20th game has been played and then sox "will pick him up off of waivers and place him back in triple A until Sept 1 which is when rosters expand"
