wow thanks for the update, though varitek should be playing instead, just that for whatever reason mirabelli has really been striking out a lot lately, dont know why that is... but hey get to see newcomer Hyzdu play, and Tony G is coming to town! sorry i am just lil excited about him coming to play, like i said in earlier posts my friends dad is a big fan of the royals and I have watched some of the games while hanging out, the man can hit and the man can defend.

hyzdu? c'mon tito, trot can hit against hendrickson...hes no lilly or randy johnson

I think Trot is hurt, because he hasn't been running the bases well, and they pulled him in the 9th for defensive purposes.

Yes Millar is playing 1st today. I assume the lineup will look like this:

1. Damon CF

2. Renteria SS

3. Ortiz DH

4. Ramriez LF

5. Millar 1B

6. Mirabelli C

7. Graffanino 2B

8. Mueller 3B

9. Hyzdu RF

I'm hoping to get home from school in time to catch the end of this game. I'm not wild about Hyzdu being in there(former bucco), but belli and tony g being out there are just fine with me. Hopefully Wells can keep up the good work he did in his last 2 outings. 4ER over the last 2 games isn't bad at all, and the fact that he threw 13 innings also makes me feel good about todays game.

I've been a big supporter of Boomah since he arrived in Boston, and I hope he'll be able to lower his 4.73 ERA just a little today. I'd like to see his ERA at least under 4.50, and a good outting today would make that happen.

heres the pitching matchups, Mark Hedrickson has so far been good news for the Sox to face, he has a 1-4 record and "wow" ERA of 7.28 while facing our riverside sluggers ;)

Mark Hendrickson vs:

Johnny Damon, 6 for 18 (.333 avg) 3 doubles, RBI, walk, 2 Ks

Tony G, 5 for 12 (.417 avg) 2 doubles, HR, 2 RBIs, 2 Ks

Kevin Millar, 6 for 19 (.316 avg) 3 doubles, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 3 walks, 2 Ks

Doug Mirabelli, 6 for 11 (.545 avg) 2 RBIs

Bill Mueller, 6 for 15 (.400 avg) 3 doubles, 3 RBIs, 2 walks

Trot Nixon, 0 for 4, RBI

John Olerud, 1 for 7 (.143 avg) 2 Ks

David Ortiz, 3 for 14 (.214 avg) RBI, 2 walks, 2 Ks

Edgar Renterria, 0 for 2

Jason Varitek, 3 for 13 (.231 avg) double, 2 RBIs, 2 Ks

Wells on the other hand owns the D-Rays posting 9-1 record against them and very nice ERA of just 2.52, and a 3.52 ERA this season while playing in Fenway :)

Oh boy the Yanks are sending Aaron Small to the hill today ... better watch out. You never know what a 34 year old who has never pitched in the league before can do.

If you get to age 34 and you're still not in MLB I think theres a reason for it. I really hope the Yanks plan to move this guy into their rotation on a regular basis

WTF? A guy who is 34 and never pitched in the big leagues? Wow. I'm surprised, thats not typical yankeeness. i thought they would get a 34 year old who has pitched great for years but is past his prime now and hasn't pitched a decent season since 2003.

actually he hasnt pitched in the MLB as a starter for 9 YEARS!!!!!!! I thinks hes due for a perfect game...hahahha just kiddding, yanks will have to score about 77 runs to win this one....who's going for the rangers???

actaully checking his stats he has been in the majors before but just in spurts and keep dropping down to the minors. his over all career majors ERA is 5.40. Yankees will be facing Texas Rangers relief pitcher Benoit, who in 26 innings pitched, get this, his ERA is 0.69, walking 10 and striking out 27 batters in that span ;)

off the subject, but I do give props to alex cora's play in the 5th inning. I was just watching baseball tonight on ESPN and they showcased him as the # 1 screen gem play of all of the games played yesterday ;)

Yup I'm REAL happy about our latest aquistions. By the way, I changed my avitar in deference to your seniority.
