Less than 24 hours after being silenced by rookie Kyle Davies, things don't get any easier for the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon. That is when they'll go against one of the most accomplished pitchers in the game in John Smoltz.

 

The Sox counter with Matt Clement, who has done a solid job in his first few weeks in Boston.

 

This is the rubber match of the three-game series and the Sox are trying to avoid losing their third consecutive series.

I hope we win...I can't stand looking at Baltimore in first place anymore, even though I know there's still a lot of baseball left. Game over. Great game. First CG for the sox of the season. Manny looks like hes breaking out of his slump. Very happy with todays results.

Our starting pitching kicks ass. Arroyo-Miller-Clement have all been outstanding. Wake shows his typical flashes of brilliance. Once Schill comes back and David Wells remembers who he is, we should be more than all set.

Wow, what a game. Besides all the men LOB it was fantastic. Manny and Ortiz hit well, Clement pitched a gem and our defense was good. Thankfully this game didn't have the rain either. Good job Sox.
