Bellhorn will go down as the most frustrating player I can remember. At the very least, he needs to bat .260 to distract everybody from the Ks. And he probably will.

.260 was a high for him last year. I think he will, though. He's been doing good of late. And his numbers at Yankee Stadium are uncharacteristically high. Of course I'd know haha.

And yeah, haha. I just have so many. I change it like once a day. ;)

edgar is the man, orlando who?

welkls stepped up last night, man that first inning had me worried but he really did the job. It was a relief to have joe morgan and jon miller doing the game last night and not that f***ing idiot tim mcCarver.

I hope we stay hot against the O's... the 17-1 game was special but alst night was a really a great game. I dont want to be negative after taking two in the bronx, but let's admit it millar really is fat s*** and shouldnt be playing. Maybe he and alan should go entartin the troops in Iraq for a few months part of a good will program. In the green zone, I hear that's really safe.

Renteria was named AL player of the week today. In the past week he went 16-24, with 7 runs scored. He raised his average from .239 to .295, with a hit in each game. He had 2 homers, 6 RBIs, and .680 OBP. He led the AL in total bases and had 5 multihit games.

even though i'm still pretty disappointed with Edgars playing, he's starting to warm up. He's settling into the Red Sox and what we seen in New York this past weekend will probably only be the beginning of what we'll see from him. Just keep in mind that, this is his first AL team, St. Louis isn't anything like playing in Boston (esp. the fans =P ) and being from the Carribean, I'm sure he's still adjusting to New Englands friendly weather(lol)

If Boston fans are the best, then Renteria should be thriving in the home setting. Oddly, he's batting .215 at Fenway Park this season, and .328 away from Boston. That's a dramatic change from Renteria's final four seasons in St. Louis, when he hit .306 overall at Busch Stadium, compared to .288 away from St. Louis. Must be a coincidence.

...Idiot.

Well so much for that sportswriter's hope about the generous and forgiving St. Louis fan. Driving home tonight from the game it was suggested on St. Louis sports radio that maybe there is a racial undercurrent to Renteria's treatment at Busch, considering other former players like JD Drew are still cheered.

The fact is, the Sox offered more up front money while the Cards played it cheap by offering deferred salary, hardly a reward for a player considered a captain. All Edgar did was take the best offer.

Cards fans knocked themselves off that pedestal that others put them on by showing their ugly side.

Maybe now, Edgar realizes he can't go home and maybe this makes him feel more a part of the Sox.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for this guy.

I feel sorry for the guy too, hopefully he can go on a tear towards the end of the season and at playoff time if not sooner

He's hitting just fine lately (outside of last night) and you can't really feel sorry for the guy. Anything that happens is all a direct result of him no matter what his agent tells him or what the est suggested deal is in the end the ball was in his hands and he made the descisions.
