I don't even know how you can make the case of O-Cab over Renteria. With Cabrera you get great defense and some offense. With Renteria you get great defense and a lot of offense --- he'll come through for us.

I didn't understand this move truthfully. We did win the WS with OC...

I didn't get why we signed Rent for more money than OC who was asking for less...but w/e, if he comes through for us, I won't be bitching.

my jury is deadlocked...i sent them back to try again.

he seems to have a good game, and then a few bad ones...7 LOB last night for example.

He isnt doing anything for me, to this point and not surpisingly I am growing tired of the good old givre him time mentality. For that money---he should be delivering the goods...at much more inspiring clip...

however, I think someone said OC aint doing so hot either--.230 ish?

This guy can play. I don't understand what is wrong with him, but I think we need to keep patient.

I just wish once in a while he'd get a hit with a runner in scoring position. It has been torture watching this whole team hit with RISP.

I didn't see the pitch he got thrown out for arguing. Was it a good call, or did he just lose it

Did he really snap?

It was pretty close really, it was probably a strike. It was definitely an argument out of frustration for having just struck out. He got tossed INSTANTLY, he turned around, made a face, and then got ejected.

He was bumping up against the ump and everything, Ortiz had to restrain him, and Francona came out basically trying to get ejected, he looked somewhat heated too. I feel bad for the umps that they constantly have to take this kind of crap, but its nice to see that Renteria actually cares enough to argue a call and get ejected. We need passion on the team dammit!

nice win today--everybody got a hit--oops, not everyone...renteria was hitless.

I hope he does turn it around, all I have heard is how he stinks at the plate becasue this is the american league and he only knows national league pitching, seems to me he got like one hit against the braves, what do we say now--along with the now usual let's be patient.

clement is the man, curt who? Mueller starting to come alive, manny nice job today, the line-up is much improved with millar out of it...youk at first, youk at first..if i keep saying it maybe it will keep happening

Those words would have never been considered coming out of anyone's mouth last year. Speaking of last year, have you forgotten it? I don't even think Clement has a career winning record, muchless done anything close to what Schil has.

okay.okay...

Of course, I havent forgotten last yuear, but to live in the past is moronic, which isnt surprisng coming out of Tex.

Schilling is schilling, but I think clement and miller have proven just how brilliant theo is and whether clement has a winning record over his career is again a stupid thing to say, he is doing wonders for us, particularly with fat ass and schilling down and what happens this season is all that matters right now.

I was just thinking about what you said and that is a ridiculous way to look at things in my opinion..

Using that logic (sic) are we supposed to stick with guys (and I am not talking about schilling) becasue they helped us win last year. PLus, to say clcement doesn t have awinning record in his career, um, who cares--he is winning now.

I dont get some of the things you say-I really dont.

Thats because he got absoloutly no run supoport from the Cubs and Dusty Baker (the single most ovverrated manager in baseball) left him out ot dry all the time, he has had vaery vary good seasons with the Cubs. But I do agree Curt is clearly the better pitcher and no one should be saying "Curt who? after last year.

Everything thats said about the sox needs to be taken with a grain of salt. When someone says "Curt who?" they most certainly do not mean that Curt is worthless. Sarasoxfan is right, lighten up guys. It was a compliment to Clement and should be viewed as such, since he is certainly deserving of comparison to Curt for this year and this year alone.

There's little doubt that he's been more valuable to the team than Curt has since the start of the season. Hell, he's won 5 games! Curt's on the DL. As much as we love Curt, he's injured and there are other people on the team who warrant respect.

Renteria is hitting .337 in the month of may, and is 3/3 in today's game with a grand slam. I'd say that he's back to form.

clement is the man. as I said!

every thing (except that ********** alan embree) is looking good today, that was a good ole fashioned ass whooping.

You know what this is just another life lesson of things that seem bad and then turning good. Remember the only reason we even signed Clement is because Pavano decided to go to the Yankees and not us and look how today turned out.
