Was impressive in his dodgers debut, allowing 2 ER and striking out 6 in 7 IP. However he received the loss due to the outstanding pitching of Jason Schmidt.

Pedro and Lowe have both learned what it means being on teams other than the sox. What a shame for them. But not bad for a debut.

I wish he could have stayed in Boston, but baseball is a business and you gotta do what you gotta do. I hope he does well out there though. He was a key piece last year.

unlike pedro, I wish d-lowe well, he played his heart out here in boston, and he always put his emoiton out there for everyone to see.

I hope he thrives as a dodger and I for one appreciate his term here!

think he will get a big ovation? i would give him one if i were there.

Getting the Win in all 3 clinching games of the playoffs he damn well better get a huge ovation.

is he actually gonna be on the field? any other red sox players who were here last year gonna be in boston for the ceremny also? I'd like to see cabrera...

we know pedro won't be here for sure

Pedro can suck it. f*** him.

You're joking right? After all he did for the Red Sox in his career that's it? Bottom line 2004 Red Sox are not the World Champions without Pedro.

Posted
Totally agree, but he's a dick so f*** him. If he doesn't want to be there or have a ring, fine. f*** him.

I'm going to Opening Day, and the sad thing is I'm giong to be in the minority of the group that stands up and claps for him, should he decide to come here.

I'm sick of people "f*** Pedro" and "he's a greedy ********." Give it a rest. Seriously.

Pedro was one of the best f***ing pitchers Boston ever had. He did so much here, and that doesn't earn him a "f*** you" in return. If he doesn't want to be there...well that's too bad. I hope he does, so maybe he'll see some people still want him to do well in his career and actually appreciated all he did for us.

He got the extra year he wanted from the Mets, and he took it. If you were in the same situation, you would do the same thing. People need to realize that baseball is a business, and not a test of loyalty.

Did D-lowe and Roberts stay to watch the game after the ring ceremonies? Does anybody know?

No, I heard they left after the ceremony and went back to their respective teams.

Did anyone else see John Kruk and Harold Reynolds bitching about D-Lowe and Roberts wearing Red Sox jearseys to the ceremony.. who gives a crap I doubt anyone on either team is going to care that much...

Yup, saw it. Their comments were pathetic and a waste of time. The announcers (don't remember which) from WEEI were rambling on and on about how stupid it is to make such a big deal out of nothing, last night. They said people were calling in to L.A. sports radio stations fed up about the whole incident.

They fail to mention that the Dodgesrs FO had been asked, and they said that they didn't mind.

I know pedro has contributated a lot to our team in the past, but this is the present. So I agree with RSR burn south of heaven pedro. Seeing lowe in a sox uniform and him getting a standing ovation was great along with seeing roberts. Pesky calling leskanic a SOB was awesome. Cabrera wasn't there but sox nation was with him as he hit a walk off homer.

Last time I checked, the ceremony commemorated the 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox. Derek Lowe and Dave Roberts were 2004 Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers/Padres had nothing to do with the World Series last year, so even if they did care, tough luck. The fact that Lowe and Roberts were 2004 Red Sox is enough information to justify it.

Derek Lowe's numbers last night against San Diego:

9 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K. 108 pitches.

Are you freakin' kidding me? D-Lowe has a 1.77 ERA over his first 3 starts.

Aside from his no-hitter, I can't remember any CG SHO from Lowe for us. That's incredible.
