It is an 8x10, autographed by not one, not two, but FOUR current and past Red Sox players. David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Bill Mueller, and Nomar Garciaparra. You cannot go wrong with this gem.

 

This contest is open to everyone, newbies and old-timers alike. The only criteria? You must have 5 posts before the end of the contest. It's that easy. Now, on to the details:

 

Entering is simple. Whoever guesses the correct hit + walk differential between the sox and their opponents for the road trip lasting from Friday, May 13th to Wednesday, May 18th (a period of 6 games), is the winner. Don't understand? Basically, this means that you take the total Red Sox hits and walks, add them together, and then subtract the total opoonent hits and walks. Think the sox will blow the M's and the A's out of the water? Then guess a positive number. Think we'll lose? Guess a negative number. It's pretty simple. Whoever guesses it or ends up being the closest wins.

 

Please also include what you think David Ortiz's hit total will be, so a winner can be declared in the event of a tie.

 

Rules:

-You must be a registered user of talksox. Everyone can enter.

-You must have 5 posts by May 18th.

-Only one entry counts. Each user's last guess will count for the contest. If you decide to guess something on May 1st only to change your mind on May 12th, that's ok. Just make a new post in this thread with your new guess. You can make as many guesses as you want, but remember, only one will count.

-NO posts may be edited. Any posts which show an "edited" tag will immediately be disqualified. If you need to make a new guess, make it in a new post, not in an old one

-Whoever wins is not allowed to brag....too much.
